Tinted moisturizer

Does anyone use tinted moisturizer instead of foundation?

What's your favorite brand?

Ashley, I "make" my own.

I will mix my foundation with my moisturizer and put it on.

When I was using Bare Minerals ( a couple of years ago) and was having trouble with it being so drying, I mixed the powder with my moisturizer and it felt/looked good.

Just today, I started mixing my liquid foundation (Estee Lauder) with my EL foundation as I need to start having my makeup look lighter for summer. Yet, I don't feel that I am naked (heaven forbid).

I've tried *many* brands, and honestly, Cover Girl is my favorite. The CG Smoothers one.

I have Rosacea so the tinted moisturizer doesn't help too much for me- which stinks, b/c who wants to wear so much makeup in the summer? I do however like the Neutrogena stuff that has a little acne medication in it. I've just started using both the liquid foundation and powder. It's not heavy at all and actually I think my skin is looking better!

I've used Neutrogena tinted with spf 30 for a long while. I just bought Aveeno, also spf 30, because it's supposed to give more of a 'glow,' but I find I prefer the Neutrogena and will go back to it when I've used up the Aveeno.

I'm 69 and haven't used any foundation for years. Tinted moisturizer gives me all the coverage I need.

Barbara, do you use your normal foundation color or do you go with a shade darker?

Dottie, I am using my normal shade. It is an ivory. I love the coverage of Estee Lauder but want to try and lighten up a bit, so I mix it with the moisturizer. It is now more of a sheer coverage.

I would go full out makeup in summer, but it just doesn't look right and my skin isn't that great, but I want to look a bit more natural and not too freaky in the sun.

Honestly, the best combination was using Bare Escentuals with moisturizer.

I do the same as Melrose in the summer most of the time and mix my foundation with moisturizer. I just like a sheerer coverage in the summer.

I used to use a Clinique tinted moisturizer that I loved.

I use Jane Tinted Foundation. It's super cheap, has 30 spf, light but pretty good coverage. And it comes in all different shades. I love it.

My favorite is MAC's Studio Moisture Tint in "Light." Gives very nice coverage and wears well.

I buy Roc Products here at London Drugs. Roc is from France and can be ordered online. It's a mid price range product and the illumator primer is the only thing I use from them, but I'm considering trying others because I am very happy with the retin-ox

I'm about ready to stop using foundation. I don't like any of them and went for many years just skipping them. Maybe a tinted moisturizer will work better for me. But do they come with different types of moisturizers? maybe mixing my own would make more sense.
