Clarisonic facial cleanser

Anybody have one? Love it or hate it?

The reviews I've seen are pretty positive, but I wonder about how they would be on very sensitive, yet acne-prone skin prone to redness. I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions!

I have the Clarisonic Mia and I love it. I do have sensitive skin and I have not had any problems with it. I can't answer to the acne prone skin issue.

It makes my skin so soft and if I do have some impending breakouts, they tend to clear up faster!

That sounds great ~ your skin looks beautiful in your avi ~ glowing and fresh. I have a gift card from Christmas burning a hole in my pocket and I was thinking of putting it to good use.

You can use it with any cleanser you have, right? I've got a bunch of different cleansers I should use up!

I have the Mia & I like it but I recently purchased Nutra Sonic, which has 4 speeds & also does the body, and I like it better.

I love it--it's seriously life changing. My skin has never felt better, or cleaner. I use it daily in the shower, and then after the shower while I'm still wet I follow it up with olive oil.

Like everyone else, I love it! Go for it! Just start slow with it if you have sensitive skin. I actually had a couple of break-outs when I first started with it, but now they go away very quickly without even a temporary scar if I ever get any.

Oh no!! Nutra Sonic?? *going to google* I have never even heard of that!

I had my eye on the Clarisonic with three speeds that comes with the Fresh soy cleanser and moisturizer. It also has a body brush. I thought that would be great for the backs of my upper arms, shoulders, upper chest, etc. I'm sure it would be good anywhere, but I was thinking warm weather and what shows in summer tops particularly.

I seriously had no idea there was even another choice out there! *lives under rock*

Jaycee and Beth, thank you guys! I really, really want to feel better about my skin and what I'm doing for it. Fighting this aging process is hard work! *and costly *

I wanted a Clarsonic but decided to get the cheaper Oil of Olay rotating brush that just came out a few months ago. My skin absorbs my moisturizer so much better now and therefore I am seeing better results in general. I will say that I have very acne prone skin and it is too irritating to my breakouts. I have to steer clear of them while washing.Besides that I like it a lot.

I know someone that bought the Oil of Olay one also; and she loves it as well.
I think any of them provide good results - I think the main thing is the regular exfoliation!

I bought the one with three speeds and the body brush instead of the cheaper Mia. Honestly, the Mia would have been fine. I used the body brush once. I use a big body brush that I already had instead and like it better. As for using the three speeds, I forget about them and generally stick with the automatic one that comes on.

The Nutra Sonic seems to be practically identical and the reviews for it seem really good too. I'm going to have to check out the Olay one next time I'm out. I just need to figure out which one will be best for me, with my super sensitive skin. I liked the fact that the Clarisonic has the sensitive brush and was hoping it would be really soft, but maybe the other ones would be equally soft? I may have to head to the mall too, and see if I can check them out in person.

Thanks, for pointing out the various options~ very good information.

I have a friend the loves the oil of olay one as well...I might love it too, but I've never tried it. I agree that the regular exfoliation is the real ticket here. The thing is I have the sonicare tooth brush---and that was so awesome that when I saw they made the facial cleaner, I jumped on it, because the sonicare toothbrush was (is) that good! I think you'll be a winner either way

I think any of these will be a great improvement. Very cool that the technology was developed by Sonicare people ~ that gives me a certain measure of confidence in the quality. I saw that Neutrogena has one out there for about $15 or so. I saw it in passing, in a hurry and didn't seek out the Olay one.

I am leaning toward the Clarisonic or Nutra Sonic really and am excited about getting one.

I was going to tell you to forget the Nutra Sonic because mine seems to be defective. It keeps shutting off when I use it. I was about to send it back when it occurred to me that I have not charged it since the day I got it.

They suggest charging once a week. I'm surprised it has been working at all. lol...

I think either will be good. Just remember to let it do the work. You don't want to be applying pressure like you''re scrubbing.

LOL I'm glad it turned out to just needing to be charged! It must be wonderful at holding a charge to begin with ~ that's pretty impressive.

Yes, that is one of my main concerns. I know I can't tolerate anything harsh on my face at all, so I would have to be very careful about pressure. I really wish I could know for certain which one was the most gentle while still being effective. I need to try them all!

Both the Clarisonic & Nutra Sonic have brushes for sensitive skin so I compared them. The Clarisonic is a little bit softer on my skin. I'd recommend getting it because of your very sensitive skin.

I have decided to return my Nutra Sonic. Not because I don't like it but because I find I use way too much soap when I use it on my body. I feel like I am pouring money down the drain so it is going back. It has cured me of any desire for the Clarisonic Plus, too. It would be the same thing with that.

My Mia is fine for cleansing my face.

I adore my Mia and use it every morning in the shower! As an esthetician, I'm a little apprehensive about the Olay one or any brush that rotates, rather than oscillating like the Clarisonic. That just seems too rough!!

I have a the Clarisonic pro.. I love it! I noticed a big differance in the first couple days.. texture of skin improved and I just looked refreshed. AFter a week, without mentioning my new addition to my skin care regimine, people at work noticed that my skin looked better. NOW after 4 months my pores have shrank, fine lines around my eyes have started getting better, and the firmness of my skin has greatly improved.

Okay girls, I got it Friday and have used it a few times, so far only on my face. My first impression is how good my skin felt ~ soft and super clean. I reallly like it and there are no regrets so far! I love the sensitive brush, very soft!

Do you all use it twice a day or just once? I'm thinking I might try just once, in the evening, to make sure my skin is really clean and I'll get the most out of my nighttime treatments. What do you do?

Glad you're keeping the Mia but sorry the Nutra Sonic didn't work out for you! I'm going to try the body brush this week, probably just on trouble spots like the backs of my upper arms, elbows, feet and knees. I think I'll like the exfoliation and hopefully that will keep the soap usage to a minimum.

Hmmm, I did not even think of that ~ good point! Makes me even happier with the Clarisonic because my skin is super sensitive.

IT WILL!! Just be consistant I found that if I do use it twice a day its too much, I started to break out a little bit and it dryed my skin out. I use it once a day, at night, and then I use my Retnoids or other serums. In the morning I just wash my face in the morings like normal. Its great! I hope you enjoy it.

Hi Ladies!

I had never heard of Clarisonic until 3 minutes ago and now I want one after reading this thread

Brads deals had posted a coupon for the Mia, Drops the price to 119. Is this a good deal? I might ask for this for my birthday. I would love to shrink my pores on my forehead. The Pro looks nice but at almost 200 on Amazon I might pass. Have you all had yours for a while? I would like to get a couple of years out of it!

Thanks in advance!

Midnight; I only use it at night - I honestly think if you have any sensitivity, twice a day might be too much. I usually only rinse my face in the morning anyway, but at night after make up, grime from the environment, etc. you do get a good cleansing by using it. I keep rinsing the head until I see no more discoloration so I know my face is clean. Then I pat dry and put on any night time supplements I use. Makes a HUGE difference!!!

Piknik, I have the Mia and purchased one for DD for Christmas. $119 is a great deal and I haven't seen it cheaper than that. Some places also offer free shipping too. There is a place I got my DDs from that offers shipping for orders over $49.
