PCOS Acne help?
I was diagnosed with PCOS earlier this year, and i've been battling some terrible acne for about a year. I know it's got everything to do with the PCOS, so it's generally not topical, but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to help deal with the acne while losing weight?
Have any topical products helped with acne caused from PCOS or insulin resistance? |

PinkStar26:
I have been battling hormonal/IR issues for two years now. For awhile, I was having weird breakouts along my jawline...and even on my neck, of all places. It wasn't severe by any means, but my doc sent me to a dermatologist. Spironolactone was discussed, but I refused and insisted on trying topicals first. I continue to use my usual glycolic cleanser. The doc prescribed Benzaclin for AM and Retin-A Micro .1% for PM. I use organic argan oil for a moisturizer. Everyone responds to things differently, but this combo works very well for me...my skin has been pretty much clear since using. Hope this helps. Victoria |
