Anyone planning to try the new tarte foundation or mascara?

I would like to try the mascara - it has already received great reviews. I am still boycotting all foundations.

I can't recall if there are other new products. Those are the two getting the most attention.

I have been reading alot about the new foundation AND mascara.

Our favorite shopping channel has a new TSV coming up this month.
I think I am going to check it out.
It can always go back.

I saw a blog about that new kit coming up. It looks nice. I am not ready to try foundation again but I will be watching for your review. I am very curious about the mascara.

Is that going to be an auto-ship deal?

It is, Deb.
You know me; a sucker for Tarte.

I read probably the same blog - and a you tube review of it from another blogger - she gave it high marks. If nothing else; I can cancel the AD, and know for sure I will use all products at least with THIS kit.

I heard there is a free sample of a new eye creme included with the kit. Supposed to be nice.

I heard that too.
The blogger - Musings........has not given the foundation a very good review.
Based on that alone - if the rest of the products are worth it in the kit, I will keep it, but cancel A/D.

I hope you like the foundation.

I think it will take a foundations with rave reviews to get me to try another one. They all disappoint me.

I've read some reviews that say if is great for summer and others that say it is oily. It does contain oil but not everyone finds it bad. You like the M oil for your skin so maybe this will work for you.

Deb - you are right - and I did get a recommended foundation (Lancome) from Sephora and I can't wear it in the summer - I have NEVER had an issue with feeling oily, but these liquid foundations give me that icky greasy feeling.

I will evaluate the foundation, but like I said - even if I don't like it, I could give to DD24 - we are similar colors and she loved the last Tarte foundation. I would keep the kit and then just cancel AD.

I did however, order some ELF mineral make up - it got alot of great reviews and most people say it was equal to or greater than some name brands and so much cheaper!!!!

I will let you know!

When it comes to make up and skincare I do not buy before I try. I have tried a lot of products and been disappointed not always by the product sometimes the customer service.
I use what I use now because it works great, I love it, it's affordable and I have the best customer service with my consultant who is never more than a call a way. She spoils me by making sure I have what I need and that it works for me , saving me money and time by not having to return products or cancel subscriptions.
I just wish I had found it sooner.

Megan - I am glad you found something that works so well for you.
Personally, I like to be able to just buy when I need it and not have to rely on someone else. And to cancel an auto-delivery is as easy as a click of a mouse!

Cindy, I predict you are going to love this kit. Bet you can't tell I've been reading more reviews!

The only thing I am not sure of is the foundation. Foundations are so iffy. People seem to either love them or hate them.

Found a review on the kit by a blogger who I respect her knowledge and info.
She LOVED the foundation but did say if you were oily or combo skin - you may need to add some powder!

Will be trying it this morning!

Well:

LOVE LOVE LOVE the lipsurgence lip pencil - it is the perfect pink and NO SHIMMER!

I really like the maracuja oil roller (and the eye cream - which was a sample)
The eyeliner goes on SO smooth and has lasted all day. Same with the shadow - although it's very soft and I kind smushed it.

I think the mascara is great - but to me similar if not the same as Lights Camera Lashes.....

And for the foundation?
After one day - I REALLY Like it!! I did have to blend very well and I did use powder over top. It has lasted all day and I do not feel like I have a cake face!

I definitely will keep it. Just don't know if I will keep it on A/D. I will give it a while longer to make sure!

Wow! sounds wonderful!

The roller is just pure M oil isn't it? I love that idea. My itty bitty sample of the oil from way back when won't last forever.

I have been hearing that the eye treatment - the sample - is amazing - the new must have. I wonder when it will be available.

Does the mascara have fibers? It sounds like it doesn't. I think that is why I would like it. Is it similar to BE Flawless Definition? That is my favorite. We look for opposites when it comes to mascara.

Is there much shimmer in the shadow or liner? I could not tell on the video or pictures.

Deb - you and I are in agreement about shimmer in shadows.....no the shadow or liner does not. That is why I like them so well.

I will look at the mascara - I think there are fibers. I will let you know.
I still need to try the BE flawless I think.......

They need a non-shimmery kit that contains no foundation or concealer so I can buy it.

I do think I'd love the shadow & liner, too. I know I'd like the oil.

You are going to keep the A/D, aren't you? I wonder what the next colors will be?

I have to admit that not looking for a great foundation means a lot less disappointment for me. I will probably try another one sometime but I am not up for another disappointment yet.

I'm disappointed too that all the kits have some foundation in it....foundation is such a personal choice, I think their losing customers by including everything in every kit. Not needing mascara in every kit either. Just give me the color!

I did just order Tart's tinted moisturizer, just came yesterday so I haven't tried it yet...Thru Sephora, tho, not QVC with their ridiculous shipping charges...

It has been a while since I bought any tarte cosmetics but I am still using and enjoying the ones I got a while back.

What are your current tarte cosmetics...and why? So many people love the line and I would love some new product reviews.

Just bought a Tarte blush the other day. It was one of two I saw at Sephora that looked like it didn't have a strong peach base, and the other looked a bit too purple (Sephora house brand). Thought the purple might make my undereye circles more obvious

I do like it, it is a bit more vibrant than the one I was using and it is fragrance-free. The old stuff was starting to itch.
