The colors in both kits all sound very nice. I wish the kits had worked out for me.

I'm looking forward to your review on the charcoal liner. I have a BE liner in charcoal & it is too light, gray. I'll bet the tarte one is darker & nice. I love the liner from the 8th wonder kit in plum.

I love that plum liner too!
I bought one off ebay, right after the kit came out and paid only $10 for it.
Now they are $20!

Um, no?
That looks like the eyeshadow palette that I gave away to DDs before I realized I loved tarte!!

The reviews look great - and um, there are a couple of "veteran" makeup users that gave reviews and they loved it!

Some nice shadow shades but too many shimmery ones for me.

If tarte (or anyone else for that matter) ever comes out w/a kit containing a real lipstick in stick form rather than those glittery, shimmery colorless glosses I will probably fall over in a dead faint!

I have super straight eye lashes so I am the self named 'eye lash curler' queen. I probably have and use more in a year than most use/have in ten. But the Tarte one is my fav so far. I've been using an eye lash curler since about 7th grade. I'm 47 years old.

I use their primer too.

I love the Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara and haven't needed to use a curler!
But boy does it make a mess when I wash my face.
I HAVE to use eyemakeup remover when I am done washing my face!

Try using the eye makeup remover first, then wash your face.

I will have to check out their eyelash curler. I used to use them but got annoyed with them falling apart all the time so I stopped. I really don't need one but they can be fun sometimes.

Benefit, They're Real mascara is my favorite. Since I started using it I haven't had a 'down' day. My dd uses it and doesn't have to use a curler.

It's pricey though, but so worth it to me just in the time it saves.

Curl
Primer
Curl
Mascara
Curl
Mascara

Done. My lashes are uber high maintenance.

I'm glad that mascara worked for you.
I tried it and it wasn't for me.
I went back to the Lights Camera Lashes mascara.

I was hoping it would!

BE Flawless Definition is my favorite mascara. I love the applicator.

I have been blessed to have pretty good lashes & it really doesn't take much effort to make them look the way I like.

I can't believe I'm saying this...but I canceled the 8th wonder kit. I'm still on my first tube of foundation, and I'm not sold on the mascara, so I haven't touched the second tube.

And I wanted that new eyeshadow quad.....

The mascara is my HG mascara, so will have two tubes.........that alone would have cost me $40.

I won't need the new tube of foundation for a while, but it is a lighter color, so may switch!

I'm glad you got them but I would not be happy to get them at the same time either. They really had poor planning with that. So many buy both kits that they really should stagger them.

Have fun with the news colors!

I recently tried a trio of tarte smolderEYES Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner in Fig, a rich plum, Olive, a deep moss green & Golden Black, a black with golden flecks.

I got it for the green shade because you are supposed to be ab le to use it as a shadow as well as a liner. I really did not need the other colors but figured I would use them.

You can't - or rather I can't - use them as shadows. I could not spread them over my lids. They are too waterproof. They won't budge once applied so they don't go on well. The green was almost black. The pencils did not have the colors written on them so it was very difficult to tell the green from the black. The black w/gold specks was kind of neat. Not a big glittery look but different. The plum was a nice shade but I'd got two other plum liners.

If the green had been good I would have kept it but it sent it back.

Do they sell the quad alone?

I still am on the first tube of foundation, too. Well, I haven't used it in months. I mostly stopped using foundation.

That mascara gets rave reviews from many but I prefer BE Flawless Definition. I think it depends what your lashes are light and/or what kind of look you want which mascara you'll like.

Sephora has a SmolderEyes kit with 5 of them that I bought the other day. It's amazing! The colors are a shimmery black, matte brown, gold, olive and purple. They're beautiful, the texture is amazing and they last forever!

They also have a kit of the lipsurgence crayons that I want to buy next! Love these!

Deb; the kits - BOTH of them should be here this week!

I am so hoping there are more matte shadows in these kits.......but like I said between the foundation, the mascara, brushes, etc......with products both myself and my daughter use, it's a good value for us.

Ok, Deb; fill me in on the BE Flawless.......I need lengthening and volume.....unfortunately, DDs did not get their long, beautiful lashes from me!

I had this issue too, initially. I think they take a little playing with. I find that they're not great as shadows themselves, but rather blended out to create a smoky effect. The sponge on the end is actually really good for this. If you put a thick line, as if you were using eyeliner, and then smudge it out, you can get a sheer wash of color. You can also cover your entire lid and then smudge it for a stronger effect. I then usually add eyeshadow in the crease to blend, because the edges don't get very soft.
I also use it over Bobbo Browns cream eyeshadow as a liner and as a crease shadow. This seriously doesn't move all day!

Anyway, sorry you had trouble with it! I agree that not super user friendly at first, but if you play around with them for a bit, the colors are gorgeous!

Got both kits.
Am keeping the one with the foundation, but I think the other one - with the concealer, is going back - unless DD wants some of the items. Just nothing special in it.

The kit with the foundation - LOVE the eye shadows and liner!!!!

You can go in to get a discount, but I think it's easier online.
