I'm sending the kit back.

I like tarte but have not been having much luck with the kits. They do make non-shimmery shadows & I would probably be happy with them.

Sorry Deb!

I love this kit as much as the last one!

I do agree however, that she can cut back on the shimmer!

I just bought Nars concealer and love it compared to the other brands I've used. It goes on smooth (not creasy or greasy) and stays on all day. I have oily skin so that's important to me, yet I cannot use the mineral powder concealers because it emphasizes the fine lines.

Sorry too Deb. I didn't get this last one in AD and I'm happy with that. I still have one more from the last TSV.

After I tried the shadows, I thought they looked less sparkly after they were on, because I don't do too shimmery either.

This blush just rocks though.....

How are you using the Maracuja Oil?

I've only used it a few times. I have used a little after my serum at night and one day when I was not leaving the house & wore no makeup I used some during the day.

I basically use it like a moisturizer and only at night.....love it around my eye area and between my brows where I tend to have a frown line.

I definitely would love another creme eyeshadow in maybe a pewter.....

Ulta sometimes has some kits in smaller sizes. The prices however are similar to the full size kits on the Q...

I have become a HUGE Tarte fan - I have quite a few of their products.
I like the founder and her philosophy and that the products are very good and a good value.

The Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara is awesome!

I think the lip stain would be great - I love the lipsurgence line too.

I admit - I'm a sucker for it because it's True Blood too.

Cindy - details on the mascara, please!

I'd like to check out the lip stain & blush. Too many sparkles & shimmers in the eyeshadow palette for me. I wonder if they have them at Sephora... I will have to check next time I'm in that neck of the woods.

I'm sorry you felt ignored. That was not the intent. I was heading to bed when I asked about the oil & never even read the recent posts so I missed your comment.

Thanks for your review of Nars. I've heard good things about the brand but never tried it. I'll check it out. So far what works best for me is Bye Bye Undereye but it is nothing to rave about.

I've got oily skin, too. I use BE Bisque on my face sometimes but never under my eyes.

I wonder how far I can stretch this itty bitty sample...

I'd love to see a tarte kit with some good matte shadows. They seem to think we want the shiny stuff though.

I am IN LOVE with the creme shadow from the recent kit.
I was going to buy SOME creme shadow in Target today and DD23 said all the creme shadows she has boughten in the big box stores or drugstores, crease......the TARTE does not..........she told me "Mom, stick with the Tarte."

I am going to order another pot from the Q!

MK - I have tried EVERY Mascara out there.......trust me, I have. Nothing has lengthened my lashes. I originally gave the mascara from my last kit to DD21.....why? I have no clue. This last kit that I got, I tried it, and OMG - I have lashes!!! I just build the coats and it looks like I have curled my lashes and I haven't. AMAZING - and they claim it increases lash volume by 400% and I believe it!

So what's the name of it again?
And is it waterproof?

It's called Lights, Camera, Lashes.
It does come in waterproof, but I don't use it.
DD23 bought the waterproof and she says it's not the same as the regular.
She returned it.

They have a couple different lines of mascaras, so maybe one of the opther ones would work. Try to get a sample...

I used to think the same thing but regular mascara has come a long way. I discovered that when I got a BE kit almost 2 yrs ago. I tried the Flawless
Definition mascara & was surprised to find that it stayed put perfectly! It is now my favorite mascara. No problem at all with my contacts.

The tarte LCL stays put, too. Maybe not quite as well as FD, but it is good.

I've started using the Maracuja Oil as my night treatment, based on the raves I saw on the QVC board.

What I like about it is that I can use one product all over--eyes, lips, neck, and face. It takes very little, and so far, it's been great.

I'm closing on age 70 (next month), but I believe that cleansing and moisturizing is what's critical for my skin (plus SPF during the day). I don't think that a lot of those expensive 'anti-wrinkle' creams do anything.

I'm hoping that the Marcuja Oil will be enough--so far, it has been as good as any expensive treatment I've used--if not better.

The matte are available individually on their site. You can choose any number, or replace one in a kit that you don't use.
