My DD23 pretty much uses all Tarte products - she has had some sensitivity issues in the past, and with any of their products, she doesn't. Her fave product is the blushes1

I have one tarte blush that came in a kit & it is nice. It is the only blush I own that is solid, in a compact. All the others are bareMinerals loose minerals. When I'm in a rush I reach for the tarte because it allows me to rush w/o danger of spilling & making a mess.

Some people think it's a tinted moisturizer, but it's really a BB Cream/primer.

I bought their concealer today. DD had it and I used it. It's the best I've found so far. I have some pretty dark circles under my eyes. I think it's stress and the fact that I just don't sleep much. I need all the coverage I can get. Aging skin really doesn't help. So far this one is working.

Do you guys still like the clay foundation in a tube? I'm reading the reviews, but I tell you, my skin has multiple personality disorder. I don't know how it's going to be from day to day anymore! I want an oil-controlling (t-zone), full coverage, matte finish foundation. Are there any out there?

I wasn't a fan of the stuff in the tube - I prefer the 12 hour maracuja in the bottle.

Thanks Radmom ~ I'll look that one up too I'm very frustrated at the moment because it seems no matter what I do, my t-zone is going from dry with flakes to oil slick! I haven't changed my skincare routine or anything ~ ugh I just don't get it. All my current stuff is not equipped to handle this! lol

Christal, the foundation in the tube is OK but I like SKINN Plasma better.

I have not found anything from tarte that tempts me since I tried the kit mentioned in this thread.

I have never even heard of that, but it sounds very scientific and interesting. Will definitely check it out~ it will be awesome if it delivers matte, all day oil control. Thanks!

Deb - I just ordered another kit that was offered as a TSV.....it has the Tarte BB cream in it, which I love!!! That alone was worth purchasing......it also came with two brushes, a new concealer, lip product, waterline/eyeliner, my fave mascara and a great bag!!!
Happy Birthday to me!

I wondered if you'd get it! Enjoy! Be sure to review everything for us.

I have only worn foundation a few times over the summer so I still have plenty left. I won't be trying anything like that (other than a sample or two I have) until I'm almost out. I might try BBs then.

This was one kit that I truly would use ALL the products. Previous kits I would give DD's a product or two as they used them, but I didn't....then cancelled them. This one I will get all three AD's.......at least right now!

Just curious (and I admit I haven't read through the entire thread.... yet), but have any of you tried any of the Hourglass brand foundations? They sound interesting, but are very pricey.

I watched several youtube videos on the SKINN foundation and those are very interesting too. I was wondering if you could describe what you like about it, Deb, and how well it performed for you?

Radmom, I know you said you liked the maracuja oil better. Is it because it is less drying with a more dewy finish?

Decisions, decisions.... it is tough to choose one! I wish I could just bust the bank and order them ALL to try!

I did like the maracuja foundation better, but not best of all.
It gives my skin a yellow tinge, which I do not like.

I am trying a sample of the Smashbox HD liquid right now.

However, the rest of the Tarte products I love!

Oh! Which one did you like the best? *although I see you're still experimenting too, so maybe you haven't found your "best" yet*

How's the Smashbox so far?

I like the Smashbox but went into Sephora and she color matched me and gave me three more samples of her rec's.........a Nars, a Becca and a Color FX. We will see which one I like the best!!!

Becca is a new brand they are carrying and the gal said she really liked it.
Color FX is a brand that is paraben, sulfate free, vegan, and good for those with sensitive skin......I will keep you posted!

Got my new Tarte kit in the mail - anxious to try the concealer and lip product today! I love the brushes that came with the kit too!

I tell you, the day something cosmetic comes in the mail, I'm like a kid at Christmas ~ that's how much of a beauty junkie I am!

I have tried Nars blush, but that's all I've ever tried from their entire line. I don't think I've even looked at foundations.

Color FX sounds very interesting, because I do have reactive skin. Seems I do better with more natural products overall. I love the Korres brand lip gloss with cherry oil. It is wonderful!

Have you tried the Ipsy subscription?
OMG - It's like Christmas every month!

I really liked the Color FX - I got ready at 8 a.m., worked 10+ hours yesterday as we had an event, and when I went to wash my face at 8 p.m., my make up still looked great!

Believe me, I have been sooo tempted ~ the problem is which one?? Ipsy, Birchbox, Sample Society, Goodebox, Julep... and I know there are others. I would totally love one, I know.

That's great about the Color FX! Such a long day! Did you have to do any touch-ups along the way?

Ipsy is great - $10 a month, great substantial try it sizes and a few full size as well....new little cosmetic bag plus five products - you can't beat it.

And no, no touch ups......just lipstick.

Today was the Becca foundation - liked that one as well. It might be a tossup as to which one I would choose to purchase.

Tomorrow is the Nars, right? I've decided I need a foundation right now that is somewhat drying. I know that sounds weird, but my skin is weird right now, so I'm going to have to go with it.

Have you guys tried Mally beauty products? I saw her on QVC today and was interested in several of her products. Not the foundation though. I thought her concealer kit sounded neat, and the poreless defender compact... (I've probably got that all wrong, but it was something like that). I didn't order, but I'm thinking about it.

I'm all over the map right now and I can't wait to find something I can be happy with for awhile!

Diamond Deb likes the pore defender.
In fact, I had some, didn't like it and sent it to her!!!

I tried the Nars - not a fan. My favorites are the Becca which is a foundation, and the ColorFx which really is a CC cream, but covers like a foundation- I am thinking with all the wonderful properties the CC cream has, I am leaning more towards that.

I am loving the new concealer from Tarte, however. I really like the coverage!

Between the Becca and ColorFX, which one would you say is more matte? I have tried a couple of the Asian BB creams, but none of the CC creams. New stuff comes out every five minutes! It's impossible to keep up!

Concealer is another thing I'm constantly in need of, and constantly trying, hoping to find one that really covers while staying out of my fine lines! Glad the Tarte is working out for you.

Christal - do you have a Sephora near you?
I always find a salesgirl whose makeup I like and pick her to help me muddle through it all!
They have so many choices, you're bound to find something - and they'll give you free samples to try at home if you're not sure between a couple of things.

TuscanGirl, I actually do have one that's pretty close, but it's in a huge mall and the traffic there is usually hideous. I do not love the traffic and often, although I could go, I talk myself out of it! I love to order things online and have them come right to the door ~ so much less stress! I know that all the ladies here give honest feedback/reviews on what they've tried and it really helps me make up my mind what I want to try.

That said, I'll probably end up at the mall shortly ~ I have some family birthday shopping to do so a Sephora stop will definitely be on the list! (for me ) You're so right, the salespeople are always very helpful.

Christal - I would be more than happy to give you my reviews.....DD's call me a product junkie, and utilize me a lot. Just talked DD23 out of purchasing an expensive highlighter because I knew of and use a knock off/dupe of a higher end product and she loved it. It was a 1/3rd of the price!!!!

I do use Sephora alot - I have a couple gals that I have gotten to know and they are awesome to work with, especially if you go in during non busy times.
