Makeup Recs Needed Please!!!

Hey ladies!

Can any of you recommend some makeup that actually lasts without sweating off, etc. during the hot days of summer? Any and all recs would be great for both drugstore and department store brands, but I'm particular interested in finding a good smudge proof/waterproof eyeliner, mascara and concealor!

I bought L'Oreal Infallible eyeliner recently, and they're full of crap that it doesn't budge or smudge. I haven't found it hold up any better in this heat and humidity than a regular/cheap eyeliner.

Can't help with the store brands, but the best eyeliner I ever used for a sweaty environment was the Avon Perfect Wear Glimmersticks. That's also the only lipstick I buy since the Perfect Wear is the only one that stays put on my lips.

I find that I can't use mascara on my bottom lashes and it really cuts down on the smudges. If you don't do that anyway, then does waterproof work for you?

Estee Lauder Double Wear is a great foundation (and it's oil free for hcg-ers!) It's $34 but you only need a small amount so it lasts a long time.

Revlon Colorstay foundation
Estee Lauder Double Wear or Double Wear Light

Dermablend or Cover FX concealer

Benefit BadGal mascara (gives light, feathery lashes..not heavy, or lengthening, or volumizing) I've never had a smudging issue with it.

Eyeliner is harder ~ Jordana, Stylie-Style, Prestige are drugstore brands and I've found them to be pretty decent. Only used the pencils tho.
Urban Decay 24/7 pencils are okay, but aren't ideal when it comes to the 'no smudging' claim.

I think your best bet would be a cream or gel eyeliner ~ WetNWild or Maybelline from the drugstore. Stila or Bobbi Brown from the department store. Another alternative is to try a cake liner like Laura Mercier.

I also have the first 3 foundations Beagles mentions. I recently tried the Doublewear based on the recommendations of the PG and it is really good, smooth coverage, but I get pore "bleed-through" in the afternoon and I don't with Revlon. The Dermablend is good for really bad patches--it doesn't let any light in! I'll stick with Revlon when my DW wears out. $34/bottle is a lot of money for something I use almost daily.

Merle Norman Lasting Foundation (creamy liquid in tube) -- lasts very well. MN also has excellent concealers -- great coverage. Estee Lauder Doublewear is also good -- probably better for dry skin.
MAC Liquidlast eyeliner -- seriously does not move after it dries. I can't even get it off without eye makeup remover.
L'Oreal DoubleExtend tubing mascara -- also does not move or smudge once it dries. I use it on my bottom lashes every day with no problems.

Macy's will give you a sample of the Double Wear or Double Wear Light. Also, if you go in this Thursday after 5pm they will give you a free gift (some sort of eye repair stuff).

Have you tried any of the lacquer you put on over your makeup to make it stay? Benefit has one called She Laq and it comes with mini brushes so you can put it over your mascara, eyeliner, shadow, whatever. I get smudges when I use mascara on my bottom lashes, but this makes it all stay!

Oh, and both L'oreal and Blinc do a tubes mascara... Absolutely wonderful, and easy to get off at the end of the day... Guaranteed to stay put for as long as you want!

i find the loreal hp gel eyeliner lasts all day in the heat and humidity. probably just as good as any higher priced gel eyeliner i have used.

i find i am trying to transition over to more of the drugstore brands, and finding them to be pretty good for the most part. for foundation, i would probably go to a place like sephora where they are generous with samples and ask to try a couple of foundations.

If you use any type of oil based anything on your eyes, even waterproof mascara will smudge when it comes in contact with it.

I adore Everyday Minerals - their makeup lasts and it does not irritate my hypersensitive skin

For Mascara - Dior Iconic - it is a splurge but it does not flake or smear

MAKE UP 4 EVER Aqua Eyes is hands down the BEST eyeliner out there. I have it in several colors and its stays perfectly all day/night. Even if you forget to wash your face before bed, in the morning the liner will still be perfect. I get mine through Sephora.

Bare Minerals and yes, you can spray a brush with water, and use it as a liquid makeup. I do this all the time and it's wonderful! Stays all day without a flaw!!
