NEW! Bare Escentuals ♥ bareMinerals ♥ BEautiful in Pearls Collection

Oh my! Bare Escentuals has partnered with Honora fresh water pearl company to create a winner with this new line.

I needed some make-up and also a few new brushes so I was lucky when the kit below showed up as TSV. It was a good deal. I just got it yesterday & am wearing it for the first time today so these are my first impressions. I'm not even wearing any foundation with it. I do not care for the shimmery sparkly appearance of most BE make-up. This is so different. It gives my skin that soft luminescence we love in pearls...

Honora partners with makeup brand Bare Escentuals
Offers 'pearl powder,' new pearl jewelry collection
October 29, 2009

New York--Freshwater cultured-pearl jewelry company Honora has partnered with Bare Escentuals, a leading provider of mineral makeup, to create a new selection of pearl products.

The collaboration was initially inspired by the brands' mutual dedication to high quality, with Honora focusing on only the top 3 percent of freshwater pearl harvests, and Bare Escentuals committed to only using the purest ingredients in its 100 percent-pure bareMinerals makeup.

Bare Escentuals Chief Executive Officer Leslie Blodgett then approached Honora for pearl powder from its freshwater pearls to incorporate into its new bareMinerals "Beautiful in Pearls" makeup kit, with Honora CEO Joel Schechter and President Ralph Rossini following up with a new color collection of pearls called "Barely Blush" to coordinate perfectly with Bare Escentuals newest offering.

"We always strive to introduce new and innovative products featuring our freshwater pearls," Rossini said in a media release. "Having the opportunity to partner with a world-class company like Bare Escentuals to create a new and exciting product is everything we could hope for."

According to Honora, the pearls in the Barely Blush collection represent infused colors of peach, caramel and mocha, which were taken directly from the makeup colors in the Beautiful in Pearls makeup kit.

Pieces in the Barely Blush collection include an 18-inch necklace and a set of three bracelets. There is also an earring style that will only be available through exclusive contests from Honora, Bare Escentuals and QVC.

The Barely Blush Pearl Collection and the Beautiful in Pearls makeup kit will be unveiled on QVC on Nov. 7, beginning with a new "Today's Special Value" from Bare Escentuals.

Honestly, I ran to the store this afternoon and was half expecting men to fall at my feet and women to beg me for my secret.

That hasn't happened...yet.

I love the glowy look. The "Other" new MV they had was awful. Like sparlkes. Ugh. I want to try the pearl one though. I don't wear blush and I already have the flawless application brush. I don't much like it. I use my Kabuki for most everything.

I mostly just use BE for foundation and mineral veil.

I mostly got this for the MV. It is so nice.

I have a mini Kabuki I got for free. A full size one is on my short list of things to get one of these days.

Yeah, I made the mistake of buying that once.

So this new is different than when you use using clear radiance over everything? I really love the look of the clear radiance but will try this out if it's even better.

I really do like how the MV looks. The eye shadows are OK but a wee bit more shiny than I like. Not so bad that I won't use them though.

I am not fond of the eyeliner pencil. I like the powder eyeliner applied with a brush better.

I'm shocked that the mascara looks good and is staying on. I only wear waterproof mascara and hesitated before trying this. It's got plastic "feathers" to the wand. Different than what I have used.

The men still haven't started falling at my feet but I feel certain it won't be much longer...

Got my order yesterday! So excited!

Thrilled to get my lipliner -- the shade is "earth" and it is a great color. I love the entire pearls collection. Oddly enough, the only thing I have even the slightest reservation about is the mineral veil. I thought it would be a little bit lighter in shade, but I put it on with a light hand and I thought it looked good. It has a beautiful glow, for sure. I'm really glad you posted about it!

That's right -- no foundation. Just the pearl version of mineral veil, blush, eyeshadows, lip gloss, plus a full size mascara and eyeliner pencil, plus brushes. I hope I didn't leave anything out. For me, it was definitely worth it. I love to try the new stuff.

They say all of these products will work on any complexion but I think that is a stretch. The colors are perfect for me.

I'm still wearing the mascara and liking it. The only time I don't like it is when I take a shower. I am used to taking my makeup off after my shower when my hair is up in a towel. Half of this mascara comes off on my towel before I get out of the shower.

I am usng everything but the eyeliner pencil. The BE powder eyeliner gives me a much softer look so I am sticking with that.

Yep, I agree that's a stretch. I think they are softer colors and probably wouldn't be as appealing to someone with medium to dark skin. I don't know that they'd show up well. I'm pretty fair, especially in the winter, so I think they're great!

I love the pencil for the upper waterline/inside lash line. Very cool that the description pointed out it was gentle enough to use that way. I wear contact lenses and my eyes are sensitive so I'm particular about what I use.

I think it's a great deal for all you get!

This kit was $50, but with the brushes and all the full size products, i couldn't afford not to get it

I also picked up the BE Matte foundation at Sephora this weekend to help with some 'shine'. Today will be the first time wearing it

My face just looks so, well, I don't know what to call it, but I just love the way my face looks with it on.

Well worth the bucks in my opinion.

When I got it it was a TSV so the price was reduced. It was also available on flexpay so I have the cost divided between three months. The kits are always the least expensive way to buy BE. And it does last a very long time.

I like the other brushes in the kit but the blush one feels flimsy to me. I like my angled BE blush brush better.
