Gallbladder Stones AND Kidney Stones!

I've been low Carbing forever and have lost about 170 pounds. In March I had kidney stone surgery that was a real bummer. Lately, I have developed really bad GERD which I had years ago and which stopped when I started low carbing. Because of the GERD, I had an ultrasound yesterday and was told by my doc that my gallbladder is full of small stones. She wants my gallbladder out asap!

In the meantime, she said I should be eating a very low fat diet which goes against everything I know in my heart to be correct.

I am so incredibly conflicted. Have any of you experienced anything similar?
