Natural calm- Lots of bloating!

Ive been wanting to try natural calm for a while, I have BM problems due to hypothyroidism. I founds sample packs of natural calm and decided to give it a try. I took one pack with water yesterday and got very tired then wide awake hours later and my stomach felt very full. This morning i did have movement, a little, but it was something. About a half hour ago i tried it again and I am so bloated! Is this normal? I thought natural calm was going to be some miracle product, but there is just no such thing!

I'd say that's the exact opposite reaction that most people, including myself, have to those ingredients. Are you absolutely sure it wasn't related to the weather, your monthly cycle, a food you ate, or something that makes more sense than calcium/magnesium/zinc?

Are you averse to trying Miralax? I take it three days per week with excellent results and NO side effects. It mixes easily in liquids (I mix it in a cup of coffee or glass of water...make sure it's totally dissolved), and it has no taste whatsoever. I use the Costco brand which costs a lot less than the brand name; most pharmacy chains have their own brands too.

Yeah,Im afraid of using laxatives because I don't want to get dependent on them once in a while would be fine though.

I understand your concerns, but Miralax is fine for long term use. It doesn't work like other laxatives that cause dependence or that have a stimulant. Miralax works by drawing water into your colon to soften the stool to make it easier to go. My gastroenterologist and my family doctor have no problem with me taking it long term. Of course it's a personal decision though. I will tell you that it's the only product that keeps me regular.

I've used CALM for years and it is wise to start LOW and SLOW...small dosage at a time then increase. Even now, I sometimes take too much and get cleaned out. Try smaller amounts for awhile and drink plenty of water.
