Wrist pain--what could it be?

Anyone else have these issues:

- Hand doesn't pivot smoothly on wrist joint; you can feel and hear it bumping and grinding when you pivot it around?
- Pain in wrist

Is this carpel tunnel or something else?

I'll give it a guess...arthritis? I have carpal tunnel and the pain is in the fat pad near my thumb, but that's just me. If you do a lot of keyboarding it could have something to do with that...maybe a good thing to see your MD.

Another symptom of carpal tunnel is finger tip numbness. I think it's usually in your middle finger.

When I used to over exercise with weights, I would hear that grinding sound when I moved my shoulders, but when I backed off the daily lifting, that grinding sound stopped. Maybe your wrist just needs a rest period.
