Migraine, labyrinthitis, vestibular neuritis, MAV?

Anyone dealing with any of these? I'd love to connect and hear how nutrition has or hasn't made a difference for you. I'm not sure what direction to head...

I have dealt with chronic migraines for my whole life, but they've gotten worse (more frequent and longer-lasting) in the last ten years. I have been on all sorts of elimination diets, none of which have helped. I eat strictly low carb, and have been back on plan for over a year now. That doesn't help either.

My neuro and I worked out a drug regimen that helped reduce the frequency for a while, but it stopped working several months back, so I finally decided to go for Botox. I had the first series of shots done last week, and it will take several months to see if it helps. Fingers crossed!

I hope you find something that helps.

this is not going to help either of you now, but there is NOTHING so wonderful for migraines as menopause. almost everyone I know has completely stopped having headaches of any kind, except maybe a token few a year, and not migraines at that. there are some benefits to aging! meanwhile, good luck.

Not everyone, Ravenrose. I have a good friend who has been plagued by migraines all her life--and she is well past menopause with no fewer migraines.

She has tried every food elimination imaginable and has worked with neurologists on Rx. Nothing works for long; the headaches always return.

Thank you for sharing your experiences. I think pre-meno is somehow a factor in this, so I'm glad to hear it may go away eventually, Ravenrose.

I'll keep trying the migraine diet for a while. It sure is restrictive on top of low-carb but I have to at least try.
