Coconut oil-too much causing pulse rate increase?

Have posted this on 'keto & high fat' diet thread-repeated here as new to this forum so nut sure which will get more views? Pasted below;

Hi guys/gals, just joined-see my intro! Ok...enjoying the joys of coconut oil...have 20gm (2 uk tablespoons) in my coffee & for the past week most nights I've had 'fat bomb' type chocolate ultra low carb freezer fudge nightly-45gm-so probably on average 75gm a day of coconut oil! My blood pressure is lowest its been (115 to 118 over 75-82-also gave up booze 3 months a go & workout 3 times a week)...however pulse even on waking is 85-90 (was 75) & last 2/3 mornings i 've got up feeling slight -moderately anxious/stressed for no reason. Read somewhere when in ketosis that coc. oil is literally like brain food so assume I'm taking too much-also read it can cause this & very minor palpitations. Apparently it will pass. Anyone else had experience of this? Any feedback/advice? Gonna cut down to the big spoon in coffee only + cooking for a few days to see how it goes-or should I tough it out & let it sort itself/ Any ideas?

CO never did that to me (when I started, it did give me a major detox 'flu' for a few days) . But, I know some people do best when they sneak up on it very gradually.

I suggest you stop it and see if the heart rate stabilizes. There is the possibility something else is happening coincidentally. Then, re-introduce it via the sneak up method.

Well.....cut down on the 45 gm of coconut oil fat bombs nightly (still have it say every 5 days)-anxiety gone-heart rate a bit lower at 85 ish-but MY GOD-blood pressure 110-120 over 75-85??? Never ever been that good! Thats on the FIRST reading on waking (normally my 1st is always 10 points higher due to I guess anticipated stress of taking bp??!!)-2nd & 3rd readings I've not bothered to take but are usually lower. Also last 5-6 days I've suffered with a pulled muscle in back (kettlebell at gym...do'h....increased weight by 7 kg-not a good idea)...so maybe that's had a bearing on the heart rate? 95% cleared up now.

Had a very slight weight increase week 3 (only 0.5kg-still 4 kg down in 3 weeks) so upping coconut oil in coffee in the am (my obligatory strong cups with cream x 2-20gm oil in each!) to see if this helps. Putting another thread about this but not unduly worried-FEEL slimmer-look slimmer.....will worry if same for another 3 weeks!!!!!!!!!!

Just a heads up, when my resting heart rate increased it turned out to be my thyroid, so please be aware that that can be an issue.

I recently noticed my blood pressure going up (well, just to 130/90 but from 100-110/60-70) with coconut cream. I added coconut cream to my diet (4 tbsp in my 4 mugs of coffee a day) as a way to increase calories. Before this I was doing 4 mugs of coffee with almond milk.

Also, I have not had an anxiety attack until I started adding coconut cream. It was a mild panic attack, but still.

I might have to stop the coconut cream.

Oh, and I have recently been tested, and my thyroid hormones are normal. So no problem there.

I don't get this effect from coconut oil but once I tried MCT oil by itself. It was miserable. I felt like I drank a pot of coffee. Lasted about 15 minutes.
