Extra strength excedrin!!!

I never buy Excedrin but I had a headache the other day and a friend gave me some Excedrin. Poof!! It was gone. So I bought some. Dh woke up with a bad headache so I gave him 2 and he was amazed how fast
It worked. It has aspirin and caffeine as well as Acetomeniphen ? in it.

I was astounded that I never considered ever buying this.

It's not called the headache medicine for nothing! when I was 19, I worked at Walgreens, and spoke to the pharmacist about the best headache medicine. He told me excedrin, and explained about the synergistic effect of the Tylenol, caffeine, and aspirin. He was absolutely right.

I have chronic headaches and chronic migraines, and I cannot be without extra strength excedrin! I buy it in bulk. No joke. It's even one of the three meds I take when I get a migraine: maxalt, extra strength excedrin, and relafen, all together.

Yes, using two medicines (aspirin & acetaminophen) helps alleviate pain more effectively than a higher dose of just one. But those who have liver issues (such as elevated liver enzymes) should use Excedrin with caution, as acetaminophen is metabolized in the liver. Also, it should not be taken if you have had a few alcoholic drinks that day for the same reason.

I can catch a migraine early enough with Excedrin. For some reason has to be the white round pills though. The green ones, caplets just dont work. I keep a supply in my car, purse, gym bag, work drawer.

I buy the generic from Walmart. Exact same formula.
