Fatty Liver and Low Carb

I was recently diagnosed with Non Alchoholic Fatty Liver Disease. My Dr. told me to avoid foods high in saturated fats. However, when I was reading online about it, it seemed to me that much of the cause of NAFLD was high carbohydrate, sugary foods. In fact Choline, a nutrient found densley in egg yolks, was found to help reverse NAFLD greatly.

Has anyone had success reversing their NAFLD with a low carb, high fat and high protein diet?

I don't know the answer to your specific question but I have read from many sources that avocados are great for your liver and help with NAFLD. They can actually help regenerate the liver. The recommendation is 1 or 2 a week. I eat a half of an avocado 4 or 5 times per week.
