The other night I was checking my pulse when my daughter asked me to measure hers. Her beat is so arrhythmic as to stop the app detecting it. I googled it with reference to low carb so I have something to say to the doctor when i take her in a few days.

Unfortunately the only results were all from low carb nay sayers which wont help me at all. I know from experience if I can prove I am taking informed risks, my doctor will caution me without being over dramatic. So if anyone can help point me at some research or articles, that would be great.

BTW, DD seems perfectly healthy, exercising and losing weight, sleeping well and just did some exams at school in which she did very well. She just doesnt have the steadiest heart beat.

why would you think it connected to her eating? I have had arrythmia for decades and it doesn't get any better or worse when I am low carbing. mostly it's benign, PVC's, but it needs to be checked to make sure it's not something more serious. good luck!

Because she had a full check up 10 months ago for the contraceptive implant and no-one said anything about it then. We've been low carbing for 4 months. You know, and I know this will be taken by many to be causation. This is why I want LC friendly info to present to the doctor. Otherwise I have nothing to stand on.
