Carb sensitivity and cortisol?

I have been doing a lot of research, and one thing I have found is that carb sensitivity is possibly genetic. Another component is cortisol, which contribitutes to visceral fat accumulation, especially in older men.
My Dad and uncles were not big eaters but did drink, and sported big bellies. I have noticed that when I overimbibe, my belly is bloated for a couple days after-even If I didnt eat much.
Has anyone else here found a connection between carbs, alcohol, and cortisol?
