Chilblains secondary to Reynaud's Disease

I was diagnosed with Reynaud's Disease when I was 15. It never amounted to much other than just having cold hands and feet, and I honestly rarely gave it a second thought. I started having severe swelling and pain in my fingers a couple of months ago, and was tested for various types of arthritis and other autoimmune diseases, as well as gout. It turned out to be chilblains.

Anyone get these? I'm having a heck of a time with them this winter. It took 3 doctors to finally get a diagnosis. I was put on Procardia to increase circulation and it helped at first, but now they're back with a vengeance, to the point that the swelling in my fingers is causing my skin to split open. I'm keeping as warm as I can as well.

Anyone else suffer with this? Any advice? TIA!

I don't have this but I think I've just developed Raynaud's. Twice now one or more fingers have turned white and numb and I've had to run them under warm water to get the color to return. Not sure if it has something with my new diet, if I need supplments, or it's just a coincidence. Never heard of chilblains before, I'm sorry that is happening to you!

Thank you. It's no fun. Sounds like you could have Raynaud's, but it can be either primary (a disease on it's own) or secondary (a symptom of another issue). If it continues, you should see your doctor to rule out anything more serious.
