PCOS & Low carb?

I know Low-carb eating is good for PCOS -
but I'm curious if I'd still be able to do an inductions phase of 20carbs while being on 2000mg of metformin?

It shouldn't be a problem. Metformin does not lower blood sugar directly, so it won't cause hypogylcemia even if you are eating very low carb. Just make sure to drink plenty of water as you should on any diet.

I was diagnosed with PCOS also, when I discovered I wasn't getting pregnant so easily. I was given metformin and fertility drugs to help. I still wasn't getting pregnant. I researched on my own and discovered that the reason I had PCOS was because I was producing too much insulin, and the reason I was producing too much insulin was because I was eating way too many carbs! So I told my doc that I was stopping the fertility drugs. I also stopped taking the metformin, and I began low carb. In 6 months I lost 60 lbs. My PCOS cleared up, and 10 lbs from my goal I found out I was pregnant. If you keep on low carb, soon enough you won't need the metformin.
