Help with yukky mornings...

I have this sinus issue and now that it is winter... yuk.... When I first wake up in the morning my stomach hates me... I am guessing due to sinus drainage

Anyway... I use to have saltines in the a.m. for this issue and was wondering...... WHAT can I use when I am trying to cut out the grains and do a low carb program??? Any ideas?

Are you actually hungry in the morning though? If your stomach is feeling yuk and you're not hungry, I would think it's better not to eat until that feeling passes? Maybe have some warm broth or some other liquids?

I am not a doctor, nor do I play one on message boards

but I am one of the few people at my job whose sinus issues have NOT cloned into a sinus infection and its all because of my neti pot.

If you've never used one, they're nasty, but they WORK!!!

I do mine at night before bed which allows me to breath while I sleep! Breathing is highly under rated!

I have to wake up really early, so half the time I feel slightly nauseated until about 10am. I simply dont eat breakfast... If I'm up to it, I sip on cold water or cold diet soda... sometimes I'll have warm broth or a little V8 or tomato juice.

I'd go for some chamomile tea which will steam your sinuses and soothe your tummy.

Mint, ginger or camomile tea all work for my morning sinus tummy issues.

I wouldn't automatically assume that your stomach distress is due to sinus problems.
There are many gastro issues that could be causing this.
I would see a doctor.
