Testosterone for men?? Does it help?
Hi...
I have hypothyroid, and my husband started having similar symptoms. Fatigue, hard time losing weight, forgetfulness, etc I took him to my doctor (she is excellent), and his numbers were great. TSH under 1, no antibodies etc etc. So, we have been seeing all this stuff on TV about low testosterone, and wondered if it's a gimmick or ?? Anyone have any knowledge of this? Thanks |

My beginning TSH was WELL under a 1, but I'm still hypothyroid.
Were his FT3 and FT4 labs good? Those would be the 'defining' thyroid tests. There are a ton of reasons for men being fatigued..as many as there are for females, lol. We thought my DH was suffering from Low T also..but it didn't do a lot of good...except for emptying our wallets...when he was 'replaced'. What was it? It was sleep apnea and very low Vitamin D. He's a little better now, won't do the machine (Cpap)...but just getting his Vitamin D up in range really helped. |

Yes, his FT3 and FT4 were good. His Vit D was a bit low though, and we haven't really followed a regimen of him taking them.
That's good to know that it helped your DH, maybe that is the push we need. |
