My health is kinda rubbish. Whatcan I do????

I'm gonna give you my basic stats and my health profile, and I'll ask a few questions

Age: 17
Ethnicity: British Asian (therefore tend to eat lots and lots of veg curries and wholemeal chappatis)
Stats: 5"5 height. 10 stones and 20 lb weight. Medium to small bone structure
Health worries: Tired all the time, I get depressed a lot. When I feel bad, I eat lots of sweets, but I don't crave carbs. I also have lots of 7up (carbonated but not too sweet fizzy pop). I don't have enough water.
Lifestyle: majorly lazy. I don't even walk to college which is 10 minutes away.
I love tangy/spicy foods. I love fresh fruit and veg though rarely get enough as mum does the shopping. I like dairy - especially cheese though I don't really eat a tonne of it. I do like to eat sweets, chocolate and crisps although this isn't good for me. I love the following cuisines: italian, asian (indian/pakistani), mexican, european, middle eastern. I eat a decent amount of carbs, not a lot of milk, I have a bit of veggies (mum does the shopping unfortunately).

A day in the life of me woulbe:
Wake up 7.30, get ready for college, eat toast and eggs for breakfast. Get driven to college. Do the work. Eat a cheese filled toast at break. Eat a portion of pasta with tomato sauce, sometimes dessert, at lunch. Go home, eat dinner at 4.00. I don't have tea, just rush straight to dinner. I usually have a small bowl of curry with wholemeal chappatti. Then probably some crisps or chocolate. That's me done. I go to bed at 10pm. I don't have caffeine. I just sometimes feel I eat too much as well - maybe 2 chappatti's instead of one, or an extra bowl of curry. When I feel like cr*p, I have 2 chocolate bars and crisps or something. Whenever I eat fast food, I feel physically sick and ill. (carb overload? Fat overload? Sugar overload?
I don't drink. Don't smoke. Don't do drugs. Pretty boring in comparison to what my mates get up to lol.

Exercise: I love energetic exercises like badminton, kickboxing, karate, tango dancing etc etc, but just simply don't find the enery. When I'm 'into' them, I have tonnes of fun. The worst exercises for me would be walking or slow stuff like pilates or ballet.

That's me and I feel horrible, unfit, lazy.

What would anyone reading this prescribe for me? Why am I so tired all the time? I know I eat probably a little too much, am slowly serously starting to crave 7up. What's wrong with me?

The funny thing is, in comparison to all the girls in my college, I'm okayish in health. They have lots and lots of chocolate and junk food (McDonalds maybe 3 x a week or something crazy like that) and they're so skinny. (But most of them do dancing/footy/whatever many times a week whereas I'm really inactive

One last thing: I'd rather not go low carb. I just want a sensible, balanced palate. And to get rid of my weird cravings (7up at 12 pm anyone?)

I'm no doctor or nutritionist, but I'd say abstain from sugar--all sweets and that 7 up, and you'll feel 100% better.

You seem to like good, whole foods, and while I would not eat as much break as you do, you're young and can probably tolerate the carbs. There's no need to go low carb unless you find that starch makes you hungry, and you still feel tired and unwell.

But I think a good 'experiment' would be to give up the sugar (including the 7 up) for a month and see if that helps with how you feel.

If you don't feel better after a month off sugar, I'd suggest a medical check up because it's possible that your craving for sugar indicates a metabolic problem that needs to be corrected.
