So I've only started with FitDay this week, but I'd been still tracking my weight and in my 2nd week of induction I didn't lose anything. So I'm continuing with induction, this week using FitDay to keep exact track of everything.

The first thing I noticed is that I was eating a LOT of protein - probably too much! If a good formula for a not very highly active woman is to eat about 1g per 1 kg of body weight... well there was a day or two I was eating over 150% in grams of what I weight in kilos. That's probably too much, right??

Well then I took a look at the calories for the past few days and ironically I'm eating very little of that. Yesterday, with my jog added in, I ate almost 1,000 calories less than I burned :stars: That sounds like an awful little, but I really did count EVERYTHING I put in my mouth, and the thing was, I just wasn't hungry for more stuff! I ate more veggies instead of proteins and I just ended up with less calories.

Yesterday was an extreme day, but nonetheless in the past few days I eat about 500 less calories daily than I burn. One would think this would make the weight burn away faster, but how much is too little - when does the body go into "starvation mode" and actually slow the metabolism down? I've not really found much in the book that specifically regards ranges of calorie intake, but maybe I missed something.

I am considering just going on to OWL and maybe with more selection in my diet it will be easier to find non-protien options that also up the cals a bit.

My boyfriend has also noticed he isn't losing (really, BOTH of us!) so he started FitDay yesterday also. We're trying to find whatever it is that might be keeping us from progress - or maybe we do just have to wait it out with diligence a bit longer!

I was only gonna have 1 but they were so good I ended up eating the WHOLE Bag (5).
If my calculations are correct it was 1 net carb each...soooo...that's not so bad right?
I mean if I had like 10 carbs today and then ate a whole bag of these then it's still just 15 carbs for the day right? I feel bad though cuz I remember reading somewhere the Dr. Atkins didn't condone sugar alcohols at all because he felt they were still carbs and you're body would still react to them the same as regular carbs.

Anybody care to chime in....should I restart induction?

8 LBS DOWN!!! I was so happy and proud of myself. Ive had quite the year and decided to do this for myself. I have had tons of support from my family. Finally it is starting to pay off. Not only did the scale confirm it for me this morning, but when I lifted up my shirt to see that old friend I wish would go away( my tummy) it even seemed to had shrank some over night :D

Just wanted to share my success with everyone. With this being my second time around with atkins I was a little dis encouraged from previous attempt due to alot slower results.:stars: Guess my body really needed a wake up call and finally got it :D

With the help of Lap Band surgery and eating the Atkin's way, I have finally made it to ONEderland! I hope to NEVER see the 200s again. I've worked so hard to make it this far...eating right and exercising and finally having a tool to help me control my appetite has just been the key for me. I'm so motivated I hope to lose more weight during the holidays! I already told my family I will be sticking with the turkey, deviled eggs, pimiento cheese stuffed celery, and my own low-carb dessert for Thanksgiving this year. So just pass on those mashed potatos and cranberry sauce and sugary pies and desserts!

If I can do this, ANYONE can!

Well, actually, my pee stinks (sorry if TMI) like really bad BO, and it has floaties, so I have to be in ketosis now. It reminds me of what someone smells the morning after a bad drunk. My breath and sweat, surprisingly, are o.k., but then I brush with baking soda and use mouthwash every morning....

Well, actually, my pee stinks (sorry if TMI) like really bad BO, and it has floaties, so I have to be in ketosis now. It reminds me of what someone smells the morning after a bad drunk. My breath and sweat, surprisingly, are o.k., but then I brush with baking soda and use mouthwash every morning. I guess drinking seltzer water helps a little as well.

So I compromised the weight loss with the health thing, and decided just to stick to the diet, exercise twice as much, be faithful with drinking my water, and don't worry about losing weight. I'm not even going to measure or weigh, in fact, put my scale up on a top shelf in the garage so I won't be tempted.

I want to be thinner when the kids get here for Christmas, but if I'm not, I'll at least be healthier and firmer, right?
