Uh ... Yes, those are cans of fish - sardines and herring.
Good Morning ...

If one of my kids had called this morning at 8:55 and asked "What are you up to?"
I would have had to answer "Taking a picture of canned fish." lol.
I'm thinking that they would not have even batted an eyelash at that answer.

Actually what prompted it was that fish was on my mind since Doris mentioned it.
(Eating fish four times a week.)

I know I eat too much. Those cans hold 3.5 servings and when I eat I eat all of it.
(See what I mean about moderation? If I open a can - that's it.)
I probably average five servings of fish a week ... but only on two or three days.

I  tilapia, flounder, tuna steaks, smoked white fish, shell fish ... and canned fish.
How about you?
.

I do, but sometimes take them off in the middle of the night and throw them out into the room. I also confess that when it get's below zero here, I sometimes wear my sweat pants and thermal shirt to bed, even though I have flannel sheets, I used to not be this way at all until the past 3 years or so though. Used to be too hot.

Does anyone own one of these recliners that give shiatsu type massages?

When we were in the Dallas airport earlier this year, we spent a considerable amount of time in them, and they were heavenly, but I do not know what brand they were.

Since I now have a tacky red and green living room, and since our old recliners are on their last legs and need to go, I may as well drive the decorator as crazy as she has driven us by replacing them with massage recliners. They may not be pretty, but they sure are comfortable.

Since they are expensive, I am looking for a recommendation for a specific brand or model that someone has had for a while and with which you have not any any repair problems.

Thanx.

I'm off for a morning of tests followed a few hours later by a visit to Gastro Doc.
They are withing a distance of 1/2 a mile - so I'm going to bring a book and read
from 12 - 3:30 in the waiting room (except for a trip to the deli for lunch).

Hi,
Here is my story and I hope you all can give me some advice/help. I lost about 40 lbs on lc about 10 years ago (but like so many I let it slip back on over the years) but I was younger and more active and it just seemed to fall off. I also got really radical with it which I know wasn't a good way to lose it. Now here I am in my 50's and not very active as I have joint problems and I'm also on some meds that I wasn't on before. I take lyrica and zoloft and I have heard that was not good when trying to lose on low carb. I don't want to lose it fast either cause I don't need anymore sagging skin. Please give me some advice on what is the best way to approach this woe now. Any help you can give me will help and I really need to get this extra weight off of my knees plus I'm down to one pair of jeans I can still get into!
Thank you,

On living long enough to be old...

I would never trade my amazing friends, my wonderful life, my loving family for less gray hair or a flatter belly. As I've aged, I've become kinder to myself, and less critical of myself. I've become my own friend. I don't chide myself for eating that extra cookie, or for not making my bed, or for buying that silly cement gecko that I didn't need, but looks so avante garde on my patio. I am entitled to a treat, to be messy, to be extravagant.

I have seen too many dear friends leave this world too soon; before they understood the great freedom that comes with aging.

Whose business is it if I choose to read or play on the computer until 4 AM and sleep until noon? I will dance with myself to those wonderful tunes of the 60 &70's, and if I, at the same time, wish to weep over a lost love ... I will.

I will walk the beach in a swim suit that is stretched over a bulging body, and will dive into the waves with abandon if I choose to, despite the pitying glances from the jet set.

They, too, will get old.

I know I am sometimes forgetful. But there again, some of life is just as well forgotten. And I eventually remember the important things.

Sure, over the years my heart has been broken. How can your heart not break when you lose a loved one, or when a child suffers, or even when somebody's beloved pet gets hit by a car? But broken hearts are what give us strength and understanding and compassion. A heart never broken is pristine and sterile and will never know the joy of being imperfect.

I am so blessed to have lived long enough to have my hair turning gray, and to have my youthful laughs be forever etched into deep grooves on my face.

So many have never laughed, and so many have died before their hair could turn silver.

As you get older, it is easier to be positive. You care less about what other people think. I don't question myself anymore.
I've even earned the right to be wrong.

So, to answer your question, I like being old.

It has set me free. I like the person I have become. I am not going to live forever,
but while I am still here, I will not waste time lamenting what could have been, or worrying about what will be. And I shall eat dessert every single day(if I feel like it).

MAY OUR FRIENDSHIP NEVER COME APART
ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S STRAIGHT FROM THE
HEART!
