I guess I did push myself too hard getting those 238 miles this year because now something is going on with my right foot. My knee always starts bothering me on the same leg around mile 2 so as much as I hate to, I decided to keep it under 2 miles for a couple of days and am going to try for 4 tomorrow.

Oh dear, I hope its one of those passing niggles.
I panic if there is any hint of trouble that could impact my ability to do my walks.

Have a lovely day, and here's wishing you pain free walks.

Thanks! "passing niggles" What a neat word. I had never heard that. I hear you on panic. I don't like to miss my walks either. For me it keeps me sane.

It felt better yesd aft so I pushed for an extra mile by just walking around my house and in place on the carpet. This morning it is back and it is raining so I will just play the day by ear. I'll get at least 2 no matter what even if I do have to walk in place again...time creeps by though. I have broken several bones in both feet and had heel spurs many years ago but this is something completely different. Hopefully it really is a passing niggle.

02/22: 3.09

Have a great day everyone! Keep moving!!!

Hope the foot is better goalin2014. I fell in my driveway ( dumb klutz!) last Wednesday and have been nursing a bad right knee. I hate it when an injury slows up my walking!

I'm going to look for that Biggest Loser DVD Val. Thanks for the tip. Sometimes Leslie's constant exuberance gets hard to take!

+3 again this morning.

+4.7 morning walk.

Shunsweets,
Oh dear, how is the knee, I hope its not an on going bother.

I agree with you on that Leslie's eternal sunshine attitude. I am one of those that can't even stand music on my walks. I just grab hold of my walk and eat up the miles, I want no chatter in my ears, except my own mind chatter..and that's enough for me.
I tried one of her videos from Youtube, I knew my exercise adherence will vanish ...I kept looking at the clock.
Which reminds me...I may try a step aerobics one and see if I can stop getting my two 'left legs' tangled. I'm useless at any type of coordination, but I want to up my fitness level so I can get the same level of cardio, at less time than what I'm currently doing.

Collage Video has the Biggest Loser DVD if you need to purchase it online. I have gobs of Leslie Sansone videos but have gotten tired of her giggling and constant talking over the years.

Thanks Shunsweets. Ironically my foot felt fine as long as I had my Skechers on so it must be a support issue. I have super high arches and if it were up to my foot doctor I would wear them any time my feet were on the floor. He yells at me any time I come in with flat sandals on.
I hope your knee feels better!

I saw the Biggest Loser Power Walk DVD and streaming video on Amazon for less than $9. I added it to my wish list. I noticed Bob does at least 2 segments. I hope it was "pre-mustache". He looks like a 70's p*rn star with that thing.

Great job Icaniwill and Val!

Have a great week!

3.1 today ~

Stepped on the scale this morning and I am down another 2 lbs since Friday.... that gives me a loss of 16 lbs since I started on Jan 24.

I am going to increase my walking and see if I can keep the momentum going

Well done...a 16lb loss in one month is phenomenal.
Walking is magical. That's why I just walk and walk, like the energiser bunny.
Any chance I get I hoof it. luckily for me, I 'walkommute' to work. Makes me able to do my first 4.7miles to and from walk, then after I get home and have dinner I do my second 4.7miles
Today, I had an offsite meeting, and was able to do another 2.5miles.
If only my eating could be as consistent as my walks. I would have aced weight loss.

Thanks Icaniwill!

I do love to walk and wished that I could walk to work. We have the perfect climate for it, unfortunately my commute is 25 miles each way, LOLOL.... I would be seriously late, haha

I am so pleased my energy is back. I changed my eating and for 2days I could not even lift my eyelids, let alone put one foot in front of the other. On Monday my body said 'enough' and kicked the lethargy to the curb. Yaaaaay

Good job walking everyone!

I only did one measly mile tonight. I don't have the motivation to move when I get done with work. I need to walk first thing in the morning when I'm alert.

Great job everyone! I did a little extra yesd because I knew we were getting rain all day today. Not a fan of walking in place...

Glad you got your energy back icaniwill! I noticed your new avatar looks very serious.

Val, I hear you on being exhausted. I would never exercise at all if I didn't do it early. I never seem to sleep well anymore and then I'm lucky if I get a couple of hours a night. Hopefully this weekend we can all rest up!

Have a lovely day!

New avatar is really pretty icaniwill.

I'm another one who is just tired out after work. I have to walk in the morning. I try to walk a mile with the dogs after work but that is all I can manage and some days I can't make myself do that.
+4 today (1 last night and 3 this morning).

I wanted to clarify my comment about icaniwill's avatar. I meant serious as in determined since she walks so much. I didn't want anyone to think I meant anything bad... I worry too much I guess but I was half asleep when I posted.

My Fitbit saves me when I can't get out to walk because I check my steps throughout the day so I will keep adding steps to round to the next 1000. I wish I had invested in one sooner than 2 months ago...

Have a great one!

Hello All, I am new to this forum...
I had to start slow. I am back on LC/IF to lose weight, exercise and get to my goal!
Now that I have my diet on track I want to add walking every other day on my LC day.
I did start walking on boardwalk this weekend, 30 minutes (1.5 miles) outside, it was 55 degrees. I can't wait till it get warmer!! When its cold in Southern NJ (today it was 19 when we drove to work) I like to walk indoors either on the treadmill or via Leslie Sansome. She is such an upbeat person to walk with. Thanks to all the good advice and look forward to reading/responding to posts here!
