Shuns- I have a child that moved back home a few months ago. Having an extra body in the house is really messing up my routine even though I love having him home.

Thanks Val. Nice to have someone understand! I have a family of 5 and 6 cats here with me in a four room house! I'm enjoying having them but it is crowded and crazy at times. Their new house should be ready August 15th so we are all trying to keep our sense of humor through the next 6 weeks but my walking is surely going to suffer just at a time I could use the stress relief!

Meanwhile I am going to try to get to the park for a long walk today as it is my day off and everyone is headed out this afternoon!

Happy July! I only work three days this week so I'm excited to kick off the new month. I didn't do so well meeting my goal last month and hop this month is better. Setting a goal of 90 miles for the month.

I didn't quite make goal last month and this month may be worse with all the company living in my house. Still will keep my goal at 100 and do the best I can. No walk today as I have a heavy work day and it is 95 degrees!

My dogs were both very sick last night and we spent half the night at the pet ER. Not sure yet exactly what is going on but I won't have my walking buddies for a couple of days until they are well. Sure hope the are better when I get home from work and check on them.

Can I join? I love walking, especially in the evening. My primary reason to do it is prayer, but it helps with weight loss and helps relieve some of my back pain. I haven't bothered to measure the miles of my routes, but I try to go for a half hour every day at least. When I was younger I'd go a couple of hours sometimes. I lived in California where there were hills, which was great. Now I live in flaaaaaat Wisconsin. At least there are lots of trees.

Last night after working on my feet for 8 hours, my neck was hurting so badly that I had to come home and do traction. I did NOT want to go out but I did anyway and it made me feel better. It's hot and humid today, so I will go later. Keep me accountable, please!

ETA: I once bought a pedometer to see how many steps I take in a shift, and it was defective or I didn't have it on correctly, or something. It said I took 4 steps in an hour! Uh, no. I walk a lot in that particular department.

Welcome, Foodlady.

Heheher- Have you told your family the exciting news you shared with us?

I was about to walk outside and get some miles in for this month but it started to rain. We have had the craziest weather this month and a ridiculous amount of rain and flash flooding. My grass looks great but my tan is fading quickly without the sun. Down to the treadmill I go.

That's exactly what I am dealing with now. It will be too dark soon. Ugh.

Welcome Food Lady!

Everybody is doing great! Me, not so much lol. No walk again this morning as I have to take DH for another stress test. He has had 2 heart attacks, triple bypass, and coronary artery stents so I am quite worried that he is having symptoms again and they are doing another work up. He is a wondful guy and has a great attitude so praying all is well this time.

My dogs are still sick. Going back to the vet this afternoon when I get home from the hospital. If worrying about things counted as exercise I would be doing great. I'll try for a walk tonight when it gets cooler.

Welcome Food Lady

No miles yesterday. The rain kept me in all day. Good news is that after 3 days the power is on YEAH! Time for some internet, air conditioning and a shower

Still no walks for me and now DH has to have another cardiac cath next week so things are going to get even more hectic around here.
Thanks for the good wishes ValR. I'm very stressed whenever my DH is sick. He is my soulmate!

At least the dogs seem to be feeling a little better.
