Yahoo - - I'm getting to the point where I am perimenopausal with night sweats... I read somewhere that exercise helps so I jogged 10 minutes last night and it seemed to help. Will slowly add more minutes.

6/25 walking at work - 2 miles, PM jog 15-20 minutes...
Also terribly humid here already at 7am....

Hi walkers!
I've been walking for about a year. My goal has been to walk 10,000 steps a day. I've stuck to it with small gaps here and there. I use a FitBit to count my steps. 10K steps for my stride end up being about 4.36 miles.

I'm hoping that being here with you nice folks will keep me committed and going.

Hey a All! Kids are on summer vacay and I'm hoping to be a little more consistent with logging my workouts!
I've been averaging about 4-6 miles a day on the TM and mixing in some workouts - heading out for today's workout soon!

I did all the planned exercise yesterday(2 miles walk, 20 min jog) so plan to do the same today...

Walking in AM, jogging in PM....(adding 10 minutes to jogging)

Cool challenge Watchmemove! How do you like the Warrior diet? I have the book but haven't got into it yet. I'm diabetic so not sure the diet would work for me but just like reading health material lol.

Still no walking for me. Babysitting again today sigh. Sure hope my daughter finds a house soon as my exercise program is suffering badly with this houseful of company but my love meter is at a high as I have little grand daughters giving me hugs all day long! May try for an indoor jog on the rebounder if I can get them all settled down for an hour.

Shunsweets - I am liking the Warrior Diet. It has been pretty successful for me so far, more in sync to my particular way of life. I admit that learning my natural stopping point or point of fullness is a bit scary. I don't really trust my own hunger cues yet. The IF part is really easy for me, no meals to plan This plan includes grains and beans which I include minimally, 1x a week, and completely unprocessed. No flours or meals just whole legumes, kernels and groats. I stay between 35g-75g of carbs a day depending on activity.

Did 3 miles on the rebounder. Not the greatest workout but much better than nothing!
Thanks for the info on the Warrior diet, watchme, I like the basic idea of one large meal at night but not sure my bgs would agree!

I hate indoor walking too Val. Seems like a chore whereas outdoors the time ( and the miles!) just flies by.

+2 out with the dogs this morning. My walking program is really cut back with this house full of company! Hope my daughter finds a house soon!
