Everybody is racking up some good miles this weekend.

My fitbit says I walked 9 miles but I didn't intentionally walk that much so I don't have anything to report. I was planting flowers all day and working on my yard. I'm too tired to walk and hopefully I can get some walking in tomorrow.

+4 this morning. May be too hot to walk later but I will try for another walk this afternoon. The dogs need their exercise or they drive us crazy all night lol - good motivator to get them out for a walk!

I have decided to do just 4.7 x 2 instead of x 3.
My feet were throbbing, I did not want to cause me some kind of injury that will stop me being able to walk altogether.

Now I know why my feet were throbbing.
I'm on vacation and started walking at a National Park nearby.
I grossly underestimated the distance I have been walking.

So today I used map my walk, and what I thought to be 6miles was actually 13.54miles if that app is to be believed.

No wonder it was taking me so long, and I thought I was losing form and kept pushing myself.

Can I join? I read through the thread and I think it's just the motivation I need to get moving. I'm a TM walker when at home. Let's just say the dozen or so dogs that live in our neck of the woods kind of scare me so unless we drive someplace to hike or walk I keep it inside at home

Treadmill is ready and I am going to dust my fitbit off and get busy! I'll shoot for 3 miles today and see how it goes from there.

Hi tjs. Welcome. I have had some scary encounters with dogs while walking so know how you feel. I got bit once and my dog that often walks with me has been bit twice. I sure wish some dog owners would be more responsible and I am a huge dog lover and have two standard poodles.

Speaking of dogs, last summer, i walked past a house and this pit bull was staring me down. I just kept walking and then I heard it start to run after me. The owner called it back - yikes, I wonder if that dog would have jumped on me if the owner wasn't there to see.

Sometimes i feel bad - becuse I'll walk outside super early in the morning past this condo complex, and there is this dog that barks like crazy. I can only imagine how their neighbors feel being woken up at 6 in the morning by a barking dog because I am walking in front of their property....LOL.

TJS - welcome and enjoy your walks! I mix it up between outside and the treadmill too...I do the treadmill when its cold enough for me or if I need to keep it close to home (I work from home).
