We start a new month tomorrow and my goal will be 90 miles. I have gone down a size in jeans since January 1. Eating healthy foods and activity really make a difference.

Ican - I don't even remember what sun or Spring is you lucky girl!! We had snow last night and are expecting 5 more inches. I'm so used to temperatures that hover around zero that I no longer find it cold.

+2 with Leslie Sansone. I've been doing her 30 day walk and it's definitely my favorite of her collection. This weekend I'm going through my walking DVDs and getting rid of any of the ones that don't use weights. I'm an advanced walker and need to challenge myself more. I will post the titles in the next day or so and if anybody wants them I will mail them to you. Stay tuned for more details. I would love to help out my fellow walkers.

We are dead in winter here too. Supposed to get 6-12 inches of snow starting tomorrow night, but today is sunny and I started the month with 6 great miles.

The weather since the beginning of this year has been weird.
We have not even had snow here in the West Midlands of the UK this year and spring will be here in 3weeks.
If we had 5ins of snow, the UK will shut down and close. We can't cope with anything over 2inches

Our weather has been really bizarre, too. We never get snow and winter is usually our most pleasant time of the year. This year, we got an ice storm and everything was suspended for 5 days. It doesn't take 2 inches to shut our area down. Just the "idea" of a little sleet and we go into panic mode. Then we have had 70's and 80's in between with 100% humidity.

I was too happy too soon...Its been nice weather for ducks today.
Come Tuesday, it will be another 7days before another wet weather spell, if the forecast is anything to go by.
I must remember I am talking about the notoriously unpredictable British weather.

I like the diversity of where we live. It's nice to learn about other places.

We are having duck weather today, too, so stuck with inside walking. Probably our last cold front coming through tonight so will enjoy the last burst of cold air before the time changes and make up my walking tomorrow.

Have a wonderful day!

We have record breaking wind chills today. We are supposed to get above zero this week. It's going to be a heat wave!

+3 indoors this morning. Snowed here too but not as bad a storm as predicted so we are feeling grateful. Now surely spring will arrive!

That was the hardest 10,000+ steps I have ever earned. I did it walking around my house and walking in place watching TV. That ceramic tile isn't very forgiving. Funny how long a 30 min show is when you are standing holding your stomach in and walking in place compared to vegging.

I earned a Helicopter Badge this morning on FitBit. I just started using it in January and it says I have done 500 floors. Wow! Apparently that is NOT from walking around my house since it is all one level, but I live in a valley so no matter what direction I walk, I am climbing hills. I guess it would be 1000 if it counted the down elevations, but my understanding is it only counts upward elevations. I don't know how I ever lived without it.

Val! I hope you didn't get too hot!
Feel better ICanIWill!!!
Have a great day everyone! Hope you all stay warm and dry.

+4.7x2 evening
Yaaay no fatigue

Thanks I do, I took the non-tired me for a spin this evening, and did my usual circuit twice with energy to spare.

I hope you had a great day yourself.
Now you make me want to get that FitBit ASAP.
Just as I was about to get the FitBit force, it got withdrawn due to some people being allergic to the nickel in the bracelet. Once they bring back its replacement, I am getting me one.

I'm a fitbit owner and find it very motivating to meet the 10,000 step goal. I have the zip and hook it onto my bra. It works quite well.

+2 today

Mine is a Force and I had a hard time finding it around Christmas. Luckily, I got it before the voluntary recall. I was sad to see they quit selling it, but hopefully they will make it even better. I still think I am having a stroke every day when my silent alarm goes off. I have yet to find a way to turn the vibrate off. I guess I could set my burned to something I know I will never hit, but I like seeing it on the dashboard. Definitely a fabulous motivator!!!
I haven't had any problems so far, but am a little concerned about how it will do when we start getting into the 120 degree heat indices. I only take it off when I shower...

I have my Up band - and it is total love. I like that it is a bracelet and would be really hard to lose. I have it set to vibrate every 45 minutes if I have not been up moving around between the hours of 7 am and 8 pm.

Some one mentioned doing some step aerobics. I cannot find the post. I was wondering what videos y'all use? I have a step that I used to use with The Firm videos. (I hate those). I have been wanting to do something with it for a while. Any recommendations?

+6 miles today out in the winter sunshine. Fabulous.

I'm jealous of all these fitbits lol. I just walk on measured trails, not too good at any of this technological stuff. I'm amazed I am able to figure out how to post here everyday!

Shunsweets, you are lucky to have measured trails. I live in the boonies and the one park that has a walking trail doesn't have anything marked. I also use Map My Walk (free GPS app) on my phone and it tells the pace for each mile while announcing each mile along with some other fun stuff. It is a good backup and especially when it is too cold to look under several layers to find my Force.

Nim, I really wanted the Up24 as a Jawbone fan, but it wasn't very Android friendly unfortunately and my phone/tablet are both Android. I like the PC connection that Fitbit gives you, too. But the UP graphics are super cool.

Heather, I haven't done any step stuff in years so I am of no help.

Have a great evening everyone! I'm up to 6.74 for the day and we have some bad weather coming so in case I can't get online in the morning...
