Hi girls, my kid is back visiting from college so just a quick stop to say Hi and I hope everyone is having a fun and productive weekend.

10,000+ steps and 48 very active minutes today. Plus, very excited I bought the most comfortable walking shoe I've ever owned - Sketchers Go Walk. They are like slippers on top and so squishy on the bottom. My feet are happy.

Mary you are an inspiration. I love hearing these stories. 1,000,000 steps since June!!!!

Misty that walking path sounds beautiful.

Lynn I hope you share your personal trainer experience.

Deb did you start your new routine?

Karen how was the open house.
Open House was great. About 200 people, and everyone pleased with the way the place looks.

Mom finally agreed to Emergency Room, so we loaded her into a pickup and my son took her to Des Moines. Sister is back, so I am letting her deal with things today. I am going down to feed Dad, and later this afternoon, I will go up to hospital. Stay all night to take Sister to airport at 5 am.........then check on Mom, drive home, and work all day......

So I will either be on here a lot, or not at all. May take my Kindle.....

Misty, glad the pedometer is working for you. Yes, the sneakers are slip ons. Upper is fabric-like, super soft. As comfy as slippers.

12,500 steps today
I didn't feel good this morning but better as the day wore on. Eating was difficult.

I experimented with lunch and used soymilk and soy protein powder, chocolate stevia, coffee flavoring, instant coffee, ice and water plus 4 oz fresh baby spinach to make a smoothie. I also had a salad and some broccoli with tofu. It was an experimental lunch that was vegan. I am toying with the idea. I would have a really hard time giving up my greekyogurt and the occasional egg.

Mary, have you looked into soy's side effects?

You are a trooper! I don't know if I could ever give up the meat and dairy.

Karen I'm glad the open house was a success. Kelp us posted on Mom.

Lynn good luck with your trainer tomorrow.

Misty aren't pedometers fun? Rocco. Walking with you?

Jazz you are moving today! Your kid walking with you?

Yes, I have looked at the side effects of soy, pros and cons, trying to keep an open mind. I don't get sick from eating it where I do from dairy products. The only dairy I can handle is greek yogurt and butter. I think that is why I felt lousy yesterday, I had been having goat molk and goatcheese last week. I am staying away from it for a week or two, then trying it again. If I get sick again, then no more goat cheese or milk.

I don't think I will ever be vegan although I do have an occasional vegan meal. I might be able to tolerate vegetarianism. I do like my bacon once in a while and chicken. But usually only have the meat at lunch. It is not a philosophical thing. So it might only be a few times a week.

10100 steps today. Had a great work out at the gym, I warm up on the treadmill so that adds alot of steps and now the put it a new stepper which I did but not for too long it was killing my legs.

Jazz going shopping this week and want to look for those sketchers. I need new walking shoes anyway and those look nice.

Mary have you ever tried Almond Milk, it's really tasty. I eat meats but about 75 per cent of my meals and snack are vegis.

Cheryl yes I love my pedometer, think I going to invest in a nicer one. Oh ya Rocco is on every walk I go on. Maybe I should put one on him and see how far he walks all day.

Lizzy how you doing on your plan. Asher must keep you active.

Lynn how long do you have your trainer for. That's how I learned alot too.

Mary so you are eating veg. to to mix things up and you like them. It sounds well rounded.

Lynn you survived your trainer.

Misty I wonder if 4 feet would rack up steps twice as fast ?

Lizzy where did you and Jazz find the shoes?

Jazz good going!

I am committed to eating cooked and raw veg at lunch and dinner, today, e.g. 39 grams fiber from veg, fruit and plant proteins.

I tried almond and coconut milk a long time ago but it is too low in protein for my purpses.

I forgot to tell you that the trainer said the FitBit is the best to have.. she had one on and tries to do 10,000 steps a day...

I told her I had trouble with the one I got at Target... I just want one that counts my steps... that I do not have to use on the internet...Does anyone have an idea???

I signed up for 3X with my trainer, and I can get a discount after that..I loved it yesterday, and I go to her again Thursday...Today is my walking day if it is not raining...

Eating is not good.
Mom surgery tomorrow. They think either remove part of colon, or growth that might be cancerous. Those are two guesses......Mom is 86 and getting weaker, because hasn't been able to eat for days.......

Probably not on line much for few days.

Prayers for you and your mom, Karen.

Lynn, I like my Walking Fit watch that counts steps, and I can take pulse too.

Started work late today so went to the park in the morning. Finished the day with 15,000+ steps.

Mary, great job! 15 K steps! WTG!!!!

Karen, hang in there

Lynn, glad you are enjoying your time with your trainer and are getting a lot out of it.

Cheryl, I think taking a day off is a very smart plan. As you said, the day off will prevent you from having to take many more in a row afterwards.

Misty, woohooooo! You are really steppin'!

Deb, where are you?
