Misty, great job! KUTGW
I keep my pedometer/fitbit on all day so it counts all steps I take during the day. On the second I get out of bed, off before I get into bed.

Lynn, I am so glad that the cramp issue is resolved and that the soap worked for you. The soap trick sounds so funny, but if it works, it works. Good for all of us to know for future times if we ever get cramps.

Karen, wow, how lucky, only you and the instructor, you will get so much individual coaching. Let us know how it's progressing. Can you keep your mind still for an extended period of time? I haven't be able to do so when I've tried. My mind gets filled with all kinds of fleeting and buzzing thoughts.

Jazz cute! Good going.

Lynn it's so nice when you can enjoy the exercise. How's the rain? It rained here too but just lightly

Karen mind quieting. Boy I could have used that. Keep me posted. Nothing like one on one.

Den do you use music in your RX class?

Yes I added a little to my routine. Baby steps. I fall down take a break and try again.

Skipped the gym today and joined a few friends to go for a nice walk. They just opened a bike and walking trail. Wow we went and it is so beautiful. Nice benches along the way, don't really know how far you could really go but we walked a long way then turned and went back, I already got in my 10000. My gf said that it takes about 2000 to 2500 steps to make a mile. So I guess I walked about 5 miles. Nice when your walking with others.

Jazz love the pics,

Cheryl, you're right...the doggie is irresistible

Deb, glad the pics made you giggle.

Karen, I'm sure you look more like the top picture when you run.

Lynn, can't wait to hear how the training session with your trainer went.

Misty, nothing like a long walk with good friends. Great for both the soul and one's health. You're lucky to have that nice walking trail.

Only 8,000 steps today, regretfully. 36 very active minutes. Weather and air pressure are changing and that makes me very tired. So I pushed through but time to rest a bit. Tomorrow is a new day.

This year has been a year of maintenance with the food and I started walking more. Last June I started writing in my food log, the number of steps I walked each day. I would get to about 8,000 steps a day on average each month. I wanted to get to 10,000 steps a day. This is a woman who could not get off the couch without help in 2001 when I weighed 376 lbs. So today, the sirens were blowing and the bombs were bursting in my head as I came home from work and walk down to the end of my street and back so that I could go over the 1,000,000 th step since June 1st. That is 400 miles. Quite an accomplishment for a 65 year old! I had my bp checked a week ago when I went to give blood and it was 104/70. The walking and the good gs proteins, fruit and vegetables with the love and support of a loving God, wonderful husband and great friends both here and in my general life contributed to making this a possibility. One day at a time. NMW. A&G&C. Odd thing is my maiden name is Walker yet I have never been one until this year.

I take about a 2 ft step. Quite an accomplishment for a 65 year old! I had my bp checked a week ago when I went to give blood and it was 104/70. Mary, your story made me cry What an amazing achievement and what level of commitment! Keep up the great work!

When the rain rolled in and the air pressure changed, I got a second wind and walked another 2,000+ steps, which helped me reach my goal of 10,000 steps for the day.
