so while I was at the gym I was inspired to get back to running outside..here is my new line up for the week

Monday--1 hour full body workout class
Tuesday--run
Wed--yoga
Thursday--1 hour full body workout class
Friday--run

im going to leave the weekends open..my L/B just went to our lake house to do a couple of things and I told him to pick up our recumbrant bike at his daughters...seeing she has given it up before starting even

so with fall coming I may just slide a bike ride in on the weekends or a bow-flex session
Deb, great schedule! Sounds like fun and is diverse. Sorry to hear about your walking partner flaking out on you. I agree with you it may be time to cut your losses with her and move on. Staying on track requires concentration and a person who is not fully committed will drag you down for sure.

A lake house sounds like such a relaxing place Are there any walking trails you can use?

Thanks, Cheryl I need to add upper body weights myself, but haven't done it yet, unfortunately. Need a lot of upper body toning. Even considering sit ups or something other kind of ab work.....Movement throughout the day has been successful....I've been sedentary for so long - probably at least 18 years or so. No wonder I got above 300 lbs.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one spending an hour or more at a time talking to Mom Only we Skype so I can't walk while doing it.

I'm so fat and slow, that it takes me over an hour of continuous walking to get toward the 5,000 step mark....I currently only walk at about 2.2 miles/hr.

I'm currently in the 7,500 step range with 59 active minutes. Need another push to get to goal.

Misty, is that Rocco in your avatar? He looks like a dog who enjoys moving around. My SIL has an Aussie who is about the same size as your Rocco, and poor thing is made to sit on a pillow all day. Or crated if they are at work. Poor animal is itching to be out there exercising and it's just sad to see him like that. He isn't even allowed to go out and run in the back yard because he barks too much.

We've tried to suggest to her to let him go live on a farm where he will be happy running around all day, but she wouldn't hear of it.

Wanted to clarify the FitBit very active minutes - they are only calculated by the FitBit when we move fast enough to break a sweat - only higher intensity movement per minute is counted.

Moving around the house, cleaning, starting and stopping will be counted as steps, but not as "very active" time. Like right now, I have walked about 9200 steps altogether, which took me about 2 hours, but only 1 hr 9 min of that was of intensity high enough to be counted as "very active" time. The rest, I guess, was turtle time ....

Misty I didn't know you did dvd's in the summer..bet Rocco loved his 1 hour walk..you must have a trail around your lake right?

1 gallon of water is GREAT Misty

Jazz I have lots of trails here in the city but I liked at my lake house when I started running and was so nice to run the trail around our lake.

Deb, walking around the fair sounds like a workout

10,165 steps so far and it's only 5:30 pm. And 80 very active minutes. Hopefully another 1,000 or so steps by the time I go to bed. However, I'm planning on doing slow activities like working around my kitchen and reorganizing a closet.

wow you girls are sure stepping it up

it was so hot and after driving the new car around with the free gas we just decided to stay home and relax....now I wanted to do that today in the sun but of course this is a cloudy day

as much as I love my weekends I do love the fact that there is some structure on my week days

anyone else?

im looking forward to class in the morning

I bought a water infuser today at Costco..so I plan on drinking 2 liters of lemon water daily..i have it ready for tomorrow in the fridge.

I'm in the 6,000 steps range right now.

Deb, I agree, weekdays do provide structure. Even though for me it's more like I can't decide - I wish I had more time on weekdays, then on weekends I kinda miss having the structure.

I don't have an infuser but I have one of those 64 oz. bottles that I drink from to make sure I get all my water in. I squeeze the juice of one lemon in it every time I fill it up. It's very refreshing.

I have my 10000+ steps in with 54 very active minutes. It helped walking LD twice.

My life is pretty unstructured. I've never heard of an infuser. But lemon water is supposed to be good for you. free gas??? WOW! You go na have to go to fake n bake?
