Thanks for all the welcomes! I was lazy this weekend, but tonight I'm back at work and I plan on doing some Callanetics. I saw a portable stair stepper with elastic bands at the store this evening, and I plan on buying that for myself as a reward when I lose 20 lbs. Until then, I'll be doing some walking and Callanetics until I work up a little more muscle and a little more energy!

Feeling grounded?

I did a few minutes of upper body work with 5# dumbells then walked up and downstairs 3x with them. Slow and steady and maybe I can make some progress. I will try this 2 x a week and keep check on my fatigue and pain levels. I hope going very slowly at this exercise thing that I can maintain it.

Urrrrrgh, TOM arrived with a vengeance and all its cohorts, so I'm feeling icky. Putting a real dent on my walking. Going very slow, hoping to be able to do at least half by the end of today.

Cheryl, that's a lot of steps early in the day. Way to go!

This past month has been great. For the first time in my life I have consistently moved (exercised) every day for a month. Counting steps instead of "working out" was, for me, less pressure and anxiety and I could walk in spurts and chunks, so it fit nicely into my schedule. Anyway, I've been at this LC thing for a couple of years now with many ups and downs. Adding the walking into the mix really pushed my WL into overdrive and I've lost 15.4 lbs in the past month. Thank you, walking!

So this morning my walking partner called to say she couldn't make it
again..I have decided our walking relationship is over..BUT she doesn't know it yet

so while I was at the gym I was inspired to get back to running outside..here is my new line up for the week

Monday--1 hour full body workout class
Tuesday--run
Wed--yoga
Thursday--1 hour full body workout class
Friday--run

im going to leave the weekends open..my L/B just went to our lake house to do a couple of things and I told him to pick up our recumbrant bike at his daughters...seeing she has given it up before starting even

so with fall coming I may just slide a bike ride in on the weekends or a bow-flex session
