Cheryl and Paula, great job!
Done with my 10,000 steps. It was a slow start this morning for me, wasted quite a bit sitting on the couch with my iPad. Then, DH and I decided to rearrange the pantry and a closet and move stuff around, which took a couple of hours of hard work. However, that hart work didn't involve too many steps. Sooooooo...it was a push to get the steps done.

Under 5000 today.

I enforced a "stay in the house" evening because my family has been running crazy. We all needed a night to relax. So, not good for my step count, but good for my soul.

I agree, nothing better and more precious than relaxing time with the family. My kid's off to college this Fall and I'm already missing the times he was younger and we spent so much time together. DH is not as affected as I am, or so he says

A little late to the party, but would love to join in. I've been struggling lately with my steps. My bare minimum is 5000, and I didn't even make that last week. Today I made just over that. The articles and visuals helped. It's a circle - you don't move because you're tired and you're tired so you don't move.

My goal was 10,000 per day but I really have to try for 15,000. My average has been 12-13,000 so I have to step it up! I feel so guilty on days where I get less than 9,000 but sometimes I just run out of time/daylight.

Kismet, you're doing great! Average of 12-13K is amazing! Congratulations!

I hear you on running out of daylight......so many other things to do during the day, so little time.

Nobody ever got a battery for my pedometer but going to the State Fair tomorrow, so I know I will get in lots of steps!

Thanks for the welcome, Eliza_Jazz.

Today I got in 8823 steps and 48 active minutes.

Yesterday and today I literally forced myself to walk because I know it is good for my body and my brain. But it was definitely not what I wanted to do. But I feel better having done it.

Went to the State Fair yesterday, and I would guess I got close to that 10,000. Still haven't gotten battery for pedometer...............................

I have gotten over 10,000 all week but still not as high as I would like. Today will be a challenge because my saturday job is only a few hours and doesn't net me hardly any steps! I'm going to take my doggy for a walk before I go and when I get home. Hopefully the weather will hold out and I can go to the park later. I'm looking forward to the cooler weather since I love to walk when there is a slight chill in the air. The only problem is that during the work week I will have almost NO daylight by the time I get home. It really stinks! Hopefully, I can just go to the gym and get on the treadmill instead.

Looks like we got some new fellow walkers while I was gone.

We finally have sunshine in our area. At the lake house for the weekend but no boating this weekend. The lake is dirty and full of trees and debris from all the flooding. So time for lots of walks. LD ( my Peke dog) will get lots of exercise.

Looks like everyone is doing good.

It's Texas in the summer ....daily temps in the 100s for weeks now, so all my walking is currently done indoors - home, mall, stores, etc. Would love to walk outdoors like in the nearby park......sigh.

10,165 and it's only 5:30 pm. And 80 very active minutes. Glad I'm officially done so I can do some slower-moving activities like working in the kitchen, etc.

Over 1000 steps and 41 very active minutes.

Jazz get your kitchen work done?

Karen I bet you got a lot of steps in at the fair today.

Our temps aren't bad but the humidity is bad. I'm doing most of my walking indoors except walking LD

Great job, Cheryl! I think you missed a zero up there

Yes, my kitchen work is done, thanks so much for asking. In this house, I'm the only one who notices dirty dishes and cups, socks and shoes on the floor, etc. DH and DS seem to have selective hearing and vision , so sometimes it's frustrating.....

Mall walking is a great idea and if there was one close by then i would probably walk there. I could take a shopping cart around the grocery store 50 times lol

A recent trip to Costco, and I just went through it relatively quickly to pick up stuff and left, netted me over 2,000 steps. Imagine going through that 3-4 times Mall walking is definitely fun, even if you don't do it in the morning with the mall walking groups.
