Well I got my zip!! I love it!! How do u know battery is getting low?? I got 12000 steps yesterday and put my calories in and it said I should only eat 613 for the day?? I don't think that would be right???
Thanks everyone for asking!!! It is raining today so no walk to the school and park!! Maybe I will go use the elliptical later tonite!!

When you go to sync your zip, you can click on a little grey gear image in the top right-hand corner, and one of the things on the drop down list is an image of a battery with green showing how much you have left, like on cell phones.

As for the 600 cal, I'm not sure, I don't enter mine there, but this doesn't sound right....

Star maybe you need to recheck what you entered in your profile? My calories change up during the day as I get more active but they never start that low.

10000 + steps and 20 vam. I'm having a foot problem. The ball of my left foot is tender and a couple toes go numb off and on. When I took LD for a walk - our road is rock and crushed rock- I kept stepping on rocks. Never noticed before. I finally got smart and walked on the grass.

Mary 12500 is still much better than me! But your typo was really impressive !

Eliza. 8000 is pretty darned good.

Star. You'll make up for it tomorrow. Good luck on your tests!

Cheryl, hope your foot feels better soon. Walking on the grass is a great solution. For foot aches and pains, my DH's grandmother recommended the following - take a tennis or lacrosse ball, and when you sit on the couch or a chair, slowly and gently roll it with the affected foot. Really works. Gently massages out the kinks.

The rain came, air pressure normalized, and yours truly got a second wind. So I went back and walked another 2,000 steps for a total of 10,000+ for the day.

Ill try it Eliza. Right now I can't stand much pressure on it. But gentle may be the key. Doesn't hurt at all if don't stand on it at least. Hurts much more walking barefoot.

on making it to 10000 and feeling better. I hear boomers so rain is on the way here.

This year has been a year of maintenance with the food and I started walking more. Last June I started writing in my food log, the number of steps I walked each day. I would get to about 8,000 steps a day on average each month. I wanted to get to 10,000 steps a day. This is a woman who could not get off the couch without help in 2001 when I weighed 376 lbs. So today, the sirens were blowing and the bombs were bursting in my head as I came home from work and walk down to the end of my street and back so that I could go over the 1,000,000 th step since June 1st. That is over 400 miles. Quite an accomplishment for a 65 year old! I had my bp checked a week ago when I went to give blood and it was 104/70. The walking and the good gs proteins, fruit and vegetables with the love and support of a loving God, wonderful husband and great friends both here and in my general life contributed to making this a possibility. One day at a time. NMW. A&G&C. Odd thing is my maiden name is Walker yet I have never been one until this year.

I have not been checking in this week but have made over 10,000 all week. I have not walked much extra since I have been sick all week (probably just a cold but did not feel like doing anything) but I'm proud of myself that I wasn't TOO lazy!

Just barely got 10,000 steps today. We went on a 2 hr car trip each way to see the NH Highland Games. I love bagpipes and the cute little kilts. It is the only time you will see men in a skirt. They looked and sounded great.

Great going Cheryl, Mary, and Kismet.

10,000+ steps and 48 very active minutes today.

My kid came home from college to spend the weekend and I decided to take yesterday off, I was already feeling kinda tired, anyway. So the count for yesterday was only 5284 steps and 10 very active minutes. Do not regret it though, had time for my kiddo. Now, if I can convince him to go walking with me, I can have both the steps and the mommy time.

I know what you mean with those last few steps before the 10K.... I sometimes have to pry myself off the computer after I sync the FitBit and go walk like the last 20 steps or so. LOL

So my fitbit says I got 14,136 steps today...too bad it can't account for the effort expended wielding the chainsaw! I'm gonna pay for that tomorrow I think!
