I'm in for 20 sessions this month. I feel that my body is hungry for Callanetics after years of neglect.

We all did so well last month! I'm excited to get another challenge. I'm in for 13 this month. I was comparing photos from Saturday and April and I look at least 10 years younger. My daughter actually gasped when she saw them side by side. I realized yesterday that I no longer have to pause when I get up to let things prepare to move. Now I simply get up and move!!!!! YAHOO!!! Thank God for Callanetics.

Ahviya, I'm so thankful your son's injury was so forgiving.

Nemia, I'm going to keep you believing. My advice is stop looking so hard and enjoy the freedom of movement. All the cosmetic changes are a guarantee. I promise : )

As it's my first time for a very long while, I'll break myself in gently. I'll aim to do Callanetics about twice a week this month and aim for 10. Any more than this I'll count as a bonus.

Good Luck everyone.

I'm trying to "learn" Evolution - great movements but a bit difficult to get used to for a dyed-in-the-wool 10/10 fan. But this is fun.

Queenbaconand Scorpio. We're glad to have you here.

Keepfitbrit I'm so excited for you! Hitting 40 consecutive sessions will be quite a milestone. Can't wait for your post.

Session 1 for the month in the books This board has kept me so motivated. I love this body sculpting. Every time I reach for my leg to do the extended leg stretch I notice my ankles are just a little slimmer and it makes me smile .

Good luck all. Happy pulsing

Custardcat, thanks for the new thread!

Daily Callanetics for me.

Nemia, I use parts of Evolution, and use the Callanetics Concepts from Evolution, but basically use my modified Ten/Ten routine.

Auntie Em, that sounds most interesting. Once I understand this Evolution tape and know to do the movements, I'd LOVE to get tips from you how to upgrade my beloved 10/10 while sticking to this routine that is relaxing and meditative for me.

I'm in for 10 this month. Last month was horrible I could only do 1 ...yikes. Between vacation (I know sounds nice but way more stress lol) and a College orientation for my son and non stop work!!! And off course I worked so hard and stressed out I got really sick last few days and have been layed up on the couch.
Ok so enough is enough and I am excited to start July fresh and new...Good luck everybody!!!

Would like to join in!

I just learned about callanetics last month while I was poking around the forums here and I LOVE it! I'd like to join in the challenge this month for 10 - that's in hours, right? It's been a long time since I've held myself accountable and it shows ..

I think I have just about every book and DVD there is, except cardio-callanetics - does anyone really recommend that one over am/pm or evolution?

To all of us,

wishing us the very best for the new month ahead.
I m filled with excitment for all of us.
All these goals and plans are filled with promise.
I believe in us,we believe in us.

here's a couple of quotes that inspired me today:

“Pain is weakness leaving the body”
― Tera Lynn Childs, Oh. My. Gods.

“Get comfortable with being uncomfortable!”
― Jillian Michaels

Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars. ~Les Brown

Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal. ~Henry Ford

Nemia, like Auntie Em I also use elements of Evolution in my regular modified 10/10 session. I have added in some advanced moves from 10/10 as well. Discounting for breaks I probably have a series that runs around 90 minutes. I took the time to learn Evolution before I decided I really enjoy 10/10 more. Learning to understand and apply the Callanetics Concepts has elevated my practice to a higher level and I find the Evolution standing leg exercises irresistibly challenging. They always leave me feeling so tall and elegant. Callanetics is quite flexible with any number of adaptations for the movements. Enjoy!

Brielle. We count each session of Callanetics as one hour. If you're working with a 10/10 DVD then it will be approximately an hour for each session, but there's lots of flexibility here. We're glad you could join us.

Last month was so nutty and busy, I didn't quite meet my goal. I haven't given up on Callanetics, however. I think I'd like to get to at least 20 sessions this month by doing the program once a day for three days, then having a rest day. I could technically get to 24 this way, but I'll leave myself a little room. I think things will calm down enough that this will happen, and I will make it more a priority.

Wishing everyone well!!

hi everybody

my daily session this month is callanetics for the stomach.working on one callan area ata time,I also practise yoga and dance. So this works perfectly with my daily routine.

remember when you feel like doing your session the least, thats when you need to do it the most.

instead of going over excuses, just make a start and do what you can, something is always better than nothing at all.

gogogo!!

I did my first full hour of Callanetics 10/10 for this month - 1/20. I enjoyed it very much. The only movements I'm having trouble with are the pelvic ones - my feet cramp something horrible. My rolled towel helps but it's still distracting. And I find the inner thigh stretch difficult.

I feel better now that I did the 10/10, and now I'm going to watch Evolution and try the movements, without feeling the pressure of making it "a proper workout". My body learns very slowly. It took me years to learn to ski.

I adapted the idea of rotational pulses. It's great to expand my Callanetics horizons a bit ;-) And I still have the Super Callanetics to aspire to.

Happy July pulsing to all of you. Happy to have found the boards!

1/15 done. I noticed that my back has been hurting so did what Callan suggested in Callanetics for Backs and took my feet off the floor... WOW! What a difference. With this change I pray that my pouch goes as quickly as possible!

The second session in July. My leg wound is infected and I couldn't put pressure on it - it's where a dog bit and scratched me ten days ago when I was walking :-( But I adapted some of the Evolution standing exercises and did 45 minutes, and I filled the Midge-and-the-table demonstrations with exercise.

I enjoy the rotational pulse especially for the arm tightening thingie. Why didn't I think of that myself?

Still not daring to do the Evolution tape and have it count as exercise time. Just trying the movements. The ladies on the tape are so graceful and elegant that I find it nearly intimidating... of course they couldn't take klutzes like me and we have to aspire to something.... but wow, the difference is HUGE.

I am aiming for 12 sessions this month. Have only done 1 hour this week so far. Taking care of a 12 year old on crutches is not easy. But I will prevail. Have a good day.
