Have a nice weekend All...

shunsweets 06-01-2013 10:44 AM

Thanks once again for the new thread Lynn! What would we do without you!:hugs:

+5 for me to start the new month and I raised my goal a little. Seems every time I try to raise it I have a bad month so maybe I can get by that obstacle this month. I know the hot weather is here and I don't do well in the heat. I'm a delicate little flower!:hyst:

Hi Anna. Glad you found us!

YAY! A new thread for a new month!

55 miles walked in May so I want to do much better for June.

+2 today but I want to go back out for another 2 after dinner. :)

Psmileyf 06-01-2013 05:33 PM

Started out June with a 7 mile day! (Dragon Boat race down at the river, with a lot of downtown between races so I walked.)

Rebecca130 06-01-2013 10:21 PM

Can I join you ladies? I'm a walker that's trying to become a runner. Been doing Jenny Craig sonde jan 2. I'm hypothyroid too.

Going to bed, it's 12;19 am, I spring cleanedy kitchen today, so very tired (major project! Took about 8 hours and I still need to wash the floor tomorrow In the daylight

Heheher 06-02-2013 12:53 AM

Thanks for starting the thread. Welcome Rebecca.

shunsweets 06-02-2013 05:42 AM

Oh Rebecca - I could use your help at my house. I need some of that major spring cleaning here too. Glad you are joining us. I can't run much anymore as it hurts my knees but either running or walking it's great for fitness.:welcome:

Paula you made your goal! And off to a great start this month!:jumpjoy:

Hi Deosil. I may have to switch to after dinner walks for a few days too. This heat wave makes after work walks tough. Either way we will have a great month.

Hi Heather. Here we go for another month. By the way I love your avi picture. You are beautiful and slim.:)

So after all this chatting one little mile for me this morning lol.:annoyed: Just too disorganized to get it in this morning. Will do better tomorrow .

Rebecca130 06-02-2013 08:55 AM

Just washed my floors so my kitchen and one of bathrooms. Going to so my treadmill after my granddaughters leave today, their mommy is going out with her boyfriend.

WickedStitch 06-02-2013 11:04 AM

Have a GREAT day!

Deosil 06-02-2013 04:18 PM

Hello everyone! Another +3 today and the weather is perfect for walking. I hope it stays this way for a while. :)

Rebecca130 06-02-2013 04:26 PM

I mowed the back for 35 minutes whiled Buffy did the front and side with the riding.

whistlemytune 06-02-2013 05:03 PM

I am joining properly this month, and hope to use the striiv app on my iPod to count miles walked throughout the day. :)

Today, however, I did walk a fair way, but forgot to turn the app on. D'oh! :p

shunsweets 06-02-2013 07:17 PM

Hi whistle. Glad you are with us.

Rebecca - wow you are doing tons of household tasks. We restained our bathroom vanity today. It came out beautiful, a big improvement. Now I need to start gradually painting rooms. It's been 10 years since we did any painting and everything needs freshening up. May have to get someone in to help as DH can't do that stuff any more since his heart surgery but for today I am happy with the project we completed.

Hi Wicked - good for you with the treadmill. A fresh start is always good.

Rebecca130 06-02-2013 07:50 PM

Shunsweets, were the same way and now things need to be done. I want to paint the kitchen when my husband is on Canada the beginning of August

rose1 06-02-2013 08:59 PM

Ugh, still nursing the ankle and knee injuries. I did fairly well in May, all things considered. Hoping for a better month in June. I moved for a total of 3 mi. yesterday while I bushwhacked. Does that count? I'm so sore today I can barely move. :p

That ABSOLUTELY counts Rose! :agree:

shunsweets 06-03-2013 05:02 AM

+3 miles of indoor walking this morning. Heavy rain here today.

Rebecca130 06-03-2013 06:26 AM

Rose1, I count my mowing as exercise, for sure!

10 callers ahead of me for the doc! Need to get in about this poison ivy that's going crazy!

1 mile swim in the lap pool...

2 mile swim in June

shunsweets 06-03-2013 04:02 PM

Well Lynn I just googled to find out that 1 mile of swimming is about equivalent to 3 miles of jogging or 4 miles (depending a lot on technique, swimming ability and such) of running so that 1 mile of swimming is doing you heaps of good and it uses lots more muscles and is easy on the joints so good for you!

Psmileyf 06-03-2013 05:06 PM

+ 9 for yesterday and today!

Heheher 06-03-2013 11:51 PM

I did 3 this morning.

wastednuffime 06-04-2013 04:28 AM

Morning all..

DD is home for the next two days ( exempt from final exams), so she and I will either do a 3 mile walk and a round of her beloved Turbo Jam, or a 4 mile walk and then some Kettle Bells later on..

Either way, we will be up and moving :up:

Have a great day :)

shunsweets 06-04-2013 04:49 AM

+4 for me this morning.

LCINFLA 06-04-2013 04:56 AM

Thanks for the info on swimming.. I was trying to see how many calories I burned... I will say my body does feel good..but the cramps in my legs at night...The (dial) soap under the sheets does help... anyone with leg cramps should try it...

Hope everyone has a good day,
