+2.5 very, very slowly and on Ibuprofen. My groin issue has flared up loads the last week and now seems to have progressed to include some sciatica and pain down the front of my thigh into my knee. It might be time to not walk for a few days and see how things go. Just as I was doing amazingly well and power walking finally. soooo unhappy atm.

My daughter stayed over on her way to DC last night so no early AM walking for me today. I did 50 situps and squats but really miss my walk. It will be too hot after work so I guess today is a rest day for me. Sure is nice to have some one on one time with my daughter!

I am sorry to hear this! I really hope my issues go away soon. I have now missed 2 days this month walking and I had been progressing so very well on my walking speed and stamina (I have Asthma also so this is a big deal for me). Now I feel as if I am back to 0 and very unhappy about it. I am adding in more weight training to compensate for now.

Deosil: I was running on the TM doing intervals ..nothing out of the ordinary ..woke the next day with the most awful hip pain. I'm told I pulled/strained my hip flexor. I went 3 months with being unable to do much. I stretched multiple times a day and got back into it on an elliptical (hate them)... And started back walking 1 mile 2x a week. I was miserable as my walking /running is a huge outlet for me.
It takes time - I still walk mostly, but I've started mixing in some interval jogging.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery for ya!

Shunsweets: I may have to aim for your monthly goal in July! Lol

Not sure I'll get any more miles in until Sunday as I have my Dad this weekend and it is hit or miss how he will be so I can't plan anything. Am hoping to be able to get up, walk the dog and get a walk in before he gets up!

Way to go getting your miles in everyone!

Anyone getting their goal set for July? I think I am going to up mine to 40.

Bucky I upped my miles a bit last month so I'll be staying put. I'm a baby and get down if I don't make my goal lol so I try to make sure it is manageable. I'm not one who rises well to a real challenge but many find that really motivating.

We're birds of a feather! I get depressed when I stick to my meal plan, exercise and the scale hardly budges!

But I am determined to change the way I live by eating low carb, exercising and being more positive.

Dad is still sleeping (hey, he's almost 90 so he can sleep as long as he wants! ) so I think I am going to try and pop in a WATP dvd and get a walk in.
