Well, I petered out in April due to joint issues. Had to give my bod a rest to recover.

My May Goal is 1 mile for 30 days as I also do other exercises, but would like to walk in mornings before breakfast. I'm doing Leslie's 1 Mile walk on the Internet.

Today: 1/30

That sounds like a doable goal.
Like you, I think I over did it a bit in April, going from nothing to 2 miles 3x/week. I had to take a break too.

Heheher 05-01-2013 03:04 PM

Plus two outside on the hills

Heheher 05-01-2013 05:54 PM

Plus two inside

Perfect day for walking here and I'm off today! Two walks for 8 miles. Yippee!

Deosil 05-02-2013 11:50 AM

2.5 miles! I am slowly increasing my distance and my pace. It is pretty tiring and my cheek bone areas are getting really, really red towards the end of the walk. A little worrisome but I think it is just the unusual exertion.

WickedStitch 05-02-2013 12:05 PM

1 mile yesterday

rose1 05-02-2013 01:12 PM

:hiya: New ped in business, battery working, knee issues getting better, + 1 yesterday.

shunsweets 05-02-2013 02:26 PM

Great job Rose, WickedStitch, Deosil, and Sharrs. I so admire you ladies who are working through health or joint issues and slowly increasing your walking. Good for you!

Hi Heather! hi Lynn! Hey Keptewe your goal is the same as mine - lets do this!

Heheher 05-02-2013 02:37 PM

Keptewe 05-02-2013 05:46 PM

I thought it was may? :-S. I heard on the news that there has never been recorded, snow in may in NWA.

Gretalyn 05-03-2013 07:32 AM

4.5 today.

Oh, and I ended up with 56 miles for April, so not quite as bad as I'd feared. If I've counted right, I'm at 250 for the year so far. But that sounds better than I thought, so I'm going to go back over my records and double check my math.

Heheher 05-03-2013 08:18 AM

Plus three inside. It snowed here in Arkansas last night.

I did a 3 days egg fast (eggs only) and I lost 4.8lbs. I was having some tummy trouble and that has cleared, I feel better, my skin is clearer, my stomach flatter and I am not at all hungry throughout the day. I averaged 10 eggs a day. :)

Wow! I love eggs, but I'm afraid doing that might make me feel otherwise. How did you prepare them? Did you get really sick of them? I'm impressed with the tummy and skin troubles clearing up. Sounds awesome!

Heheher 05-03-2013 09:35 AM

I love eggs and didnt get sick of them. I cooked them fried, scrambled, boiled. Yesterday I made them scrambled and add a little mayo for an egg salad. I had 2 fried eggs for breakfast today. Lol.

LCINFLA 05-03-2013 10:24 AM

Wow . Heather way to go... I love eggs too...

walked 4 miles today...

How very kind of you, shunsweets, to say that! Many don't understand how depressing and frustrating it is when we can't do what we want to or used to. I also applaud our 1 Milers!

Yesterday I was able to do 1 mile 2x and plan on that every other day and 1 mile every other day.

So yesterday should be 3/30.

Today 4/30

I love eggs too, but one day I tried the meat/egg fast and eggs turned me off that day. So figure, huh! I eat eggs everyday for breakfast and sometimes have egg salad sandwiches or deviled eggs and am fine still loving them.

Gretalyn 05-03-2013 11:29 AM

Well that's great, Heather, that you didn't get sick of them. I really like eggs, and eat them for breakfast often. I also like egg salad and crustless quiche. People always act so shocked and sad for my sake when they find out I'm allergic to wheat. I don't care - I can still have eggs and dairy and I'd rather have those than bread and pasta any day!

Keptewe 05-03-2013 12:29 PM

Yep...as Heather mentioned, it snowed her in NWArkansas last night! Latest snow on record for our area :). I dragged hubby into town to walk 5 miles with me!

Heheher 05-03-2013 01:22 PM

Wow, keptewe!! I'm impressed you walked in the snow. It's so cold.

Greta, and don't forget bacon. Lol

shunsweets 05-03-2013 03:31 PM

There you are Greta! Was missing you.:hugs:

Heather - wow the egg fast sounds like it worked great for you. I have done meat and egg for 3 days to get rid of cravings a couple of times. Wish I would get the flat belly! :annoyed: I've had a pot belly since I was a little girl even though I have never been overweight. I always say I look like a spider with long skinny arms and legs and a little round body!

Keptewe - wow walking in the snow in May. That's dedication.

Gorgeous day again here and I did 9 miles in two walks. Working the next 5 in a row so I'm thrilled my days off fell on these beautiful days.:)
