I just ordered the 10 n 10 and should be receiving it soon. I've been doing a lot of reading on callanethics and had be doing the South African mini workouts, however I'm not sure how closely related it is to Callahan's. I'll definitely be joining once I receive my dvd.

I did my 3rd workout this evening so 3/15 this month. 6 hours in total. I was planning on doing a workout this weekend but did 2 hours of gardening instead.

I've not lost weight yet... the only places I can see a difference is around my knees on the inner thighs - those pelvic exercises *HURT*.

I'm still struggling to do the bum & hip exercises but my stretches were amazing today!

Can I join the challenge, even though we're into the second week in April? I just received my 10/10 video last night, and completed one session. I think my goal is to do this program every other day throughout the rest of April, so that is approximately 12 sessions. I can already feel it, and I wasn't able to fully do most of the moves due to not knowing what everything was about. Looking forward to seeing what's going on by the end of the month!

I got such an unexpected surprise this evening! I pulled on a pair of 14 pants that I could barely get up past my knees at the beginning of March! I got them all the way up my legs - but can't do the zip or button yet... Wowee!!! Just 6 hours of Callanetics!

I am so hopeful to meet my goal of having those pants fit, or even bit a little loose by 30 June!

I'm definately going to take some 'before' pic this weekend! Something must be happening.

Welcome, Silverrain! You're certainly welcome to join mid-month. We aren't that far into April, anyhow.

Wow, Lilybug, you are a MACHINE!

That's awesome, silverza. I've noticed that my clothes fit a little better each week. It's a much nicer surprise than finding you need the next size up, huh?

Hit 2/10 a day ago. No weight loss here too (and I think the changes in my stomach area have been cancelled out by my excessive eating the past week) but my boyfriend said he noticed that my butt is much rounder and fuller. I used to have a flat butt (it runs in the family). So hooray for getting a rounder butt this time. This was the only exercise that worked on that part of my body.

I got down to 171.8 this morning. I've been bouncing around 173-175 for like a month. I also did my 8th hour this morning.

Hi....I too hope they come soon....still not here. I"m doing weight training at the gym 3 days a week, but can't wait to incorporate Callanetics on the "other days". You're off to a roaring start! Keep going!!!!

I got in hour two last night. My legs were jellified by the end! I like the muscle soreness I am feeling - that means it's working. Love it!

9/22 done.

It seems as if my day isn't complete if I don't do my callanetics. Plus the changes I see is so worth it. It's crazy how my jeans that were kind of tight last week are fitting perfectly today. Things like this motivate me to do this daily.

getting skinnier

last night did 4/20 feeling a little stronger....I finding that its so hard and focusing im not able to get into the relaxing zone...I was able to do this more especially with callans fav move the leg over the body stretch..I guess when one is so out of shape its hard to see that someday u will be able to master the 100 pulses..

4/15 - 27% done!
7 hours total

I felt much stronger today. Even the horrid bum exercises were much better today although I still can't do 100 pulses in one go. Also funny how my left side is much stronger than my right. Wondering if doing 10 extra on the right will bring them more into balance?

I go and look at the Before and After pictures to keep me motivated!

I'm in again. A little late starting but I've been lifting boxes, and doing the stretches here and there while I moved. I also walked a lot (11kms today).

The 7 hours I got done last moth helped me through a huge stressful bump, and now I'm ready for it to do it's magic once more! At 7 I had just gotten to the point where things were pushing toward my abs and getting a pooch-like thing, so I'm ready to pulse past that and beyond... but first for the first this month.

Congrats on all your accomplishments!!!

I'm so "jealous" (in a good way) that you have done 10 hours already. I'm still waiting for my DVD's to arrive. But I have an elliptical and I love it. Hope you love yours and it gets as many miles on it as mine does. It's the best thing for my knees (bone on bone) as it's no impact and I can do incline and resistance and still doesn't hurt my knees.

Hopefully I'll be able to report 1/10 soon. You are all doing so well, that I can't wait to truly join in.

Hello!

I hope I am not intruding, but I would love to join.

I did Callanetics back in high school, and was amazed at the changes it made.

18 months ago- I suffered a hip injury in Pure Barre, and had to go to rehab to recover my strength and function. I have gained 20 pounds in the meantime, and enough is enough. I liked Pure Barre because of the resemblance to Callanetics. Like a lightbulb going off, it occurred to me that I should just go back to what I loved. The original.

My PT said she has never had anyone get hurt doing Callanetics, and she recommends it over other barre type exercises.

So I am excited to get going again!

I have 10/10, Evolution, and Super. I am going to go for every other day of Callanetics, and then do high incline and interval elliptical training on off days.

I am so happy to see a community of peeps that like Callanetics!!

Ok I need a bit of a break from callanetics. So instead of callanetics daily I'm doing ellipiticall then callanetics every other day. I need variety. I did ellipiticall today.

Woohoo!!! You are all doing so great, and I agree about alternating days of elliptical and callanetics, or weights and callanetics. I finally got my DVD's. Started with beginning (30 minutes) so I can say I am now .5/10 (since the regular workout is an hour). In that 30 minutes I found the floor one lifting the bent and then straight leg made me laugh....you'd have thought I was lifting a railroad tie with weights on top. Had to reposition my angle to get the "lift". But good news. The pain I've had in my right hip for well over a year is gone!!!! It must have stretched it out or something. I'm thrilled!

Whoopie! I finally got my 10 x 10 on Wednesday and started my callanetics. I'm trying my best not to rush on it and to work on my form. I love the stretches and I can see myself doing these everyday. I took my measurements plus weighed myself so we'll see where I am after 10 sets. I've 4/10 so far. I'm also doing walking so I'll keep everybody up to date.

Have a great workout!
