Great job Wickedstitch!

MagieDen - I'm enjoying the earlier sunshine too. It's much safer to walk early now.

Lynn - love the transistor radio. Brought back memories of beach trips and skipping school lol.

Hi heather! No more heavy yard work?

+5 for me today.

Hi Everyone! It's been awhile since I checked in. I'm still walking as I can, but I've been having a lot of migraines recently, and when that happens it completely wipes out a day or two. It stinks.

Sorry to hear this hubby is a migraine sufferer as well so I fully know how they can be debilatating(sp?). Take care of yourself.

I thought I would join this thread also since I have also been walking every day for the past month or so. I went from pretty much sedentary for 8 years to now walking each day for 20 to 30 minutes. I suppose I should try to figure out how many miles that is. :P A couple of blocks up from me is a running track so my goal is to be able to walk to that track then go around the mile that it is and walk back. One day I would like to increase that to 5 times around but that is a long way off.

Welcome, Deosil.

No more heavy yard work for me. Lol.

I had a hard time getting motivated today. I think because my routine was interrupted. I like to work out first thing but the pooch had an appointment with the vet pretty early so just now finished walking. I did 4 miles inside, with leslie. It's raining.

Greta:
Migraines DO stink I too get them. I try to do as little as possible on the days they decide to rumble about.

Maggie:
Sorry to hear that your hubby gets them too.

Deosil:
Welcome! Taking it a little bit at a time is the way to go. If you go too fast, there is a chance you could burn yourself out and become not motivated. Motivation is key!

Deosil- to this board and welcome back to world of walking, way to go on getting back into exercising daily.

Heheher - I understand completely being off in your routine. I find that if I don't walk the time I get up that I feel off for the rest of the day. Wow, you still got in 4 miles despite everything, good for you.

Shunsweets - I am sure it feels odd for you when you can't do your normal routine and just itch to get back to it. You are doing awesome with all your walking. Keep it up as much as you can.

Lynn-I think you are the exercise "Queen!" I try to get in daily activity in as well, keep up the good work!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ahhhh, got in a late start as well this morning and it is rainning so jumped on the treadmill for a 1.5 mile walk.
Have a beautiful Wednesday everyone.
I did my 2 miles today on the treadmill. Time flies when I can watch HBO GO on my tablet while I walk! If I didn't have to go get ready to run errands and pick up my son from practice I could have walked til the end of the movie. That's got to be a good sign!
Thank You all for the warm welcomes! It is really appreciated. The rain was falling pretty hard today and my treadmill broke a couple of weeks ago and I haven't been able to get it fixed yet so I did 20 minutes on my recumbent bike today in lieu of my walk. I MUCH prefer the walking. Hopefully there won't be rain tomorrow so I can get back to walking!
Good way to work around the rain Deosil. I have a cheap rebounder I march on when it is really awful outside. Walking is much better!
+5 for me very early this morning.
It has been rainning quite a bit here as well. Good for you for getting in some exercise despite the weather. Keep up the good work.
I'm feeling low today and lacking in energy so I only managed 1.5 miles outside and then 3 miles with Leslie. It's supposed to be a rainy day here tomorrow so it might be an indoor day again for me.
April goal: 100
To go: 4.5
Sorry you seem to have no energy but getting in 4.5 miles sounds astounding to me. Feel better.
Oh Darn Darn Darn Darn, DARN! My ped died and I lost all my history, so I have no idea how many miles I got in. I'll just wing it until the May thread and start over with my new one. I can at least do Leslie for a week or so.
Oh you lucky people who have rain! We've been in a drought for several years now and it's getting really bad. Lots of plants and some trees are dying. We let all the grass in our back yard die because the amount of water it was requiring to keep it alive just seemed so wasteful - we thought it would be put to better use keeping the trees alive. Now we're figuring out how to re-landscape, but neither one of us exactly enjoys yard work, so it's going to be a long process. I wish that we had bought a bigger house with a smaller yard - one next to a park, where the city pays someone to do the landscaping, would have been perfect!
I'm still walking on my good days, but unfortunately those are not as common as I'd like. I felt fantastic yesterday and got in my usual 5 mile hike with hubby. The day before was pretty bad and my regular doctor sent me to urgent care because he couldn't get me in. The doctor there said my symptoms cannot be fully explained by migraine and he couldn't give me a diagnosis. He thinks I need to see an ENT and a neurologist.
That's amazing for not having any energy!
I did my 2 miles today, not to mention whatever I got in at the grocery store this morning.
