1.5 miles this morning on the treadmill, stormy and rainning this morning here in MI so walking outside with the hubby was a no go. Have a nice Thursday everyone!

+2 slow miles last night with the dog. Rest day today. The whole family is coming for a BBQ to celebrate DH's birthday so I will be cooking and running around all day but no walking.

+7 today.

I had a thought today...I use a fitbit so I count all of the miles I walk throughout the day, not just when I go out and do a walk for exercise. Does anyone else do that?

So today, 3 were purely exercise miles and 4 were doing activities...I am a ton more active- when I started with my fitbit I only averaged 2500 steps a day and now I average 9775 this week...mostly through just trying to move more.

Which fit do you have? I am assuming it breaks down the purely exercise miles separately?

My question as well, I would like to purchase one for myself and am not sure which one to get?

1.5 miles this morning on the treadmill.

I have the fitbit one. When I look at my online stats, I can see how long I was really active for but it doesn't tell my how many miles that was. (Of course, I know because I look at my fitbit before and after my walks.)

I am using a GPS to log my miles, and I only put it on when I am going out for the express purpose of walking/hiking. But I really think it's entirely up to you and what your goals are, etc. If you're trying to boost your overall activity level, then wearing the FitBit all the time is probably the way to go! For me, my day to day activity level pretty much just is what it is, and there's not a lot I can do at this point to change it. I already have established habits like taking the stairs instead of the elevator, not fighting for a close parking spot but accepting one farther away, those sort of things. And it's been a number of years now since I was chasing around a toddler all day - I'm sure I would have logged a lot more activity back then! Anyway, my long rambling point being that if you are trying to change some little habits that the FitBit will record, then I'd say wear it! I was thinking very seriously about getting one of those, but then my husband gave me the Garmin and it is very cool. I love it.

I impressed with all you tech savvy walkers using fitbit and gps! I walk on a measured trail in the park or use a pedometer lol. That is what I can handle!

Plus 3 for me this morning.

Yes, I got it from fitbit.com
I just bought my mom one off of amazon.
There are quite a few used ones on ebay too.

I may have to research fitbit to see if I could manage it. My nontechnical brain really struggles with this stuff. I'm thrilled I can use my IPad to keep in touch with my walking friends here Lol.

+3 today.

Back to indoor walking with Leslie Sansone's WATP. I stopped walking when I decided to alternate Callanetics with Classic Firm 1 two weeks ago. It feels so good to walk even if I was only able to accomplish 3 miles today.

+5 this morning. Gorgeous here too Maggie. I love Spring walking!

New shoes Keptewe - nice but I hate the breaking in time.

Keep going everybody. We are doing great!

5 yesterday.

I am at 3.5 for today so far and I hope to add another 2 when my son goes to baseball practice. I walk laps around the fields.

+4.5 this morning....hot and humid .

Shunsweets...I know, I was expecting it to take a while for the new shoes to feel good but I guess my old shoes were so worn out that the new ones feel awesome! I could feel a difference as soon as I put them on and the pain in my left shin disappeared over my 5 mile walk yesterday! Go figure .

April goal: 100
To go: 40
