decided to add recumbrant bike in on my bow-flex days so..

10 miles done in 27 minutes..400 calories burned..drank 4 liters of water while biking

bow-flex session.. 3 sets..12 exersices..30 lbs a side..detox tea

and the L/B and i went for a 1/2 hour walk

i need something to do at night myself..other than feeding my face so i may just do hall-way checks and stairs after suppers

everyone! Hope you've had a great weekend! I spent hours in the garden today and that's what I'm counting as exercise today. Laura, I hope you were able to enjoy the beautiful weather today! Dh got the framework up for a structure in one of our pastures that will be a wildlife observation shelter and is close enough to also provide a shady rest area when I am gardening. He's such a sweetie; anything I mention that I would like to have out here, he builds!

Cheryl, It's 30-45 minutes for me to drive to town to the healthcenter. That's part of why I stay so long once I'm there -- might as well make it count! I do Pilates MWF and toning and stretching classes TTh, and other things -- cardio, weights, swimming or water aerobics -- as the fancy strikes me after that. Wednesday of this coming week, the Pilates bunch is going out to eat again -- celebrating birthdays this time. But the good thing is that means I'll stay there longer and work out more before getting ready for the luncheon.

Deb, I love the recumbent (sp?) bikes at the health place. The stationary bike seats just don't work for me!

Weekend's almost over, but have a great week, everyone!

I got up at 5:30 today to do my Callanetics. It's interesting exercising so early (before my morning coffee, even) -- it's almost like that hour is "out of time" and not even part of the rest of my day.

This week's plan:
Sun: Callanetics
Mon: Tae-bo
Tues: Callanetics
Weds: Hula
Thurs: Callanetics
Fri: Tae-bo

(And I'm a nearly-40 mother of two children with special needs. I live in a very rural area, so all exercise is done with tapes, not classes. In the evenings I like to knit, both because I love to create things and because if I'm using my hands to knit, I can't be stuffing my face, lol!)
Sounds like a great exercise program. I live rural too. Right now I'm just walking. I'm 57 and celebrating 34 years of marriage today. Some of those years were even good. I used to knit. A little. Can't say I was good at it but it did keep me busy. I like to dabble in this and that. You gotta try and find out what you're at.

T C you're place sounds wonderful! We have about 5 acres but most of it is natural. I love the wild life. Except the armadillos that came up from Texas! Why did ya all send them up here?

Deb, I am in awe of your exercise routine!

I decided to do another hour of Callanetics this morning instead of the tae-bo, so I'll be doing that tomorrow. I love the way Callanetics leaves me calm and focused -- because getting my autistic daughter ready for school in the morning definitely requires calm and focus!

Cheryl, I wouldn't say I'm an especially good knitter! I mostly stick to small projects and simple things -- mittens for my daughters, hats, scarves, etc. I've made a few sweaters but they take forever and I'm completely sick of them by the mid-way point. I much prefer to buy my sweaters ready-made.

Got to the gym this mornng, finally, only because I had to go shopping for some snacks for me to take with me tomorrow. Doing great on my water and putting some in the cooler for tomorrow too.

Michelle wtg on getting you great workout done.Wasn't sure what callanetics was so I looked it up. Sounds like something that I would love to do. Going to have to get a dvd and try it. They had a video of the warm up and I tried it.

Tex brunch on Wednesday sounds like fun most Wednesdays a few of use girls go shopping a lunch. Your so lucky, sounds like DH loves to spoil you

Deb did you get your 5k run in this morning?

Cheryl wow you have armadillos, I had to look up a picture. Acutually I think there kind of cute.

Deb I looked up callanetics and they had a video to try the warm up and I really could feel it alot more than yoga. Think I'm going to get a dvd. Needed to get healty snack to take to the hospital tomorrow. DH has to have the skin cancer taken off again this year. I got pepperoni, cheese, grapes, nuts and bringing alot of water. Usually there all day. But this time I'v got my Kindle and DS will probably stop in.

Take care, Deb!

Armadillos are cute, Misty, and a very familiar critter here in Texas! I spent much of my childhood chasing the silly things! But they can do a lot of damage to lawns, flower beds and gardens! And Cheryl, we have plenty still, but just thought we should share!

My exercise today was recumbent bike, a toning and stretching class with a new instructor -- she kicks booty! -- and a Pilates class.

Looks like I didn't post yesterday, but it was Pilates, recumbent bike and water aerobics class. Don't know what happened to the post. Then after lunch and a little nap lots of gardening!

Today was too windy and cool for gardening. That's Texas weather -- yesterday I was gardening in a tank top and shorts, tonight I have on a sweatshirt, fleecy lounge pants and we have a fire in the woodstove!

Deb~Take care...

Misty~How did DH's skin cancer surgery go? I just made an appt. to get skin checked & have a few skin tags/moles excised.

TC~

No yoga yesterday...just did Hazel duties. Prolly won't go to yoga today either...it's stormy here. Might have to jump on Raul (my threadmill) today for a session.

Last 2 days only got walking in. DH was in out patient surgery so walked about 6 blocks with my dog, then yesterday took GS to Boston for college and he had me walking everywhere. Must be some good exercise because I really feel it today.

Pat DH di great only one more to go before spring. WTG on getting your skin checked. I get skin tags too but after about 4 months they just go away.

Tx are you getting normal Texas weather? I know alot of people are getting very unusal weather this year. Funny how us new englanders think Texas as alway hot 24/74 I would love to see Texas, I love open land, My DS live in Tenn and it was so nice.

Deb were ya going, did I miss something???
