Newbie - Neck aches
Hi Everybody, Just a quick question - i have been on a low carb (tho not very very strict) since mid January - have only lost about 5kg but hey not too bad. Anyway have just started Callenetics (remembered it from the first time round tho didnt actually do it) however the abdominal exercises absolutely kill my neck - i just cant round in and pulse - what can i do instead :confused:

I don't do Callenetics, but it may just be a form issue.

Can you try taking a video of yourself as you're doing it? You may see the problem when you compare your form to those on the Callenetics video.

I use my hands to support myself doing those kinds of moves...but you may have a problem with correct form.....I would do what Paul suggests

I agree bcould be bad form.

I also use my hands to support my neck during the stomach portion or the workout. Now, after doing about 10 hours, I can actually do a few without the support.

If you are doing the video or dvd, it does state at the end to support your neck using your hands if you need to.
