I joined a new gym today...it has so much more to offer than the one I was at..2 pools, one for water aerobics, and one for laps...I can't wait for the lappool tomorrow... after a short walk..

I'm so jealous Lynn. I love swimming. Maybe when I retire I will find the time but then I won't have any money for a gym. Doesn't matter there are no gyms with pools within 25 miles of here.

Shunsweets, I have been wanting to swim lately, the pools we have at our condo are not 25 meters.. these are...I hope I can start tomorrow...I find with my exercising I need some change so I don't get bored...I love swimming...

Hi Kaimi - wow turbo fire!

Lynn - two of my siblings have just retired to FL. They love it. Wish I lived nearby we could walk or go swimming together! Sadly I have years to work before I can retire and that is if I can keep DH healthy. He is still recovering from his open heart surgery and battling cancer but he is tough and doing well! No wonder I walk so much - the stress is overwhelming.

my thoughts and prayers go out to you.. it can't be easy, but it does sound like your DH is doing better. I am right in saying he is in good hands because you are a nurse?? lucky husband to have you. You know how to keep yourself in good health...

I do miss NYC we try and get up there alot to see the 5 grandkids..If you want to feel young come to Florida... land of the early bird (dinner) specials..

Thanks Lynn. Yes I am a nurse and do my very best to keep DH as strong as possible. The whole reason I plan to stay in NJ is the children and grandchildren. I couldn't bear to leave them but my siblings say that visiting is working well for them and they love FL!

So when do you get to try out the pool? I was a swimmer way back in high school and swam competitively. It's a wonderful exercise and easy on the joints.

Just completed a 10 mile winter hike in the park! Boy did we all luck out as it is a perfect day for it here. Sunny and 50 degrees. It was fantastic!

Wow, you all are doing so good this month..

Shunsweets.. I am waiting for the water aerobic instructor everyone says is so good to do her class.. it is next Mon day and Weds.. unfortunately I have a skin dr. appt next monday and don't want to have alot more sun than I get..(I got quite a sunburn this week at the beach..) after I see him I will try and do my lap swimming...

Today 3 miles ... 38 miles for February.. and 60 minutes at the new Gym...
