Wednesday, 4/17 - no workout this morning - going to hospital with my mother-in-law for major tests ...

My brother-in-law passed away yesterday .... --- Friday he was at his restaurant and passed out .... things went downhill from there .... my sister is strong and is hanging in there .... having to make a decision to take him off the respirator took a lot of courage ....

Great job, TM Buddies - keep it up!

Thank you all so much for your condolences .... I really appreciate it. I feel the love.

Yesterday was a long day with my mother-in-law's doctor's visit to the hospital. She is so precious. A lot of visits and more tests are scheduled. Weight loss was encouraged, as well. So, we discussed the fact that more salads and green veggies with turkey, fish and chicken is the best way to go and NO SALT~ that's her major problem. It's not helping her heart any, which is the basis for these visits.

Today, I managed the 10-min Hard Core Abs workout with Shaun T. I am behind schedule with my 35-piece baby shower favor and need to catch up now. I want to ship it out tomorrow .... therefore, I will work on it this evening for a couple of hours and, if needed, before work tomorrow morning to complete it.

I will do another 10 min Hard Core Abs tomorrow morning, if I don't have the time to either walk the TM or do a dance routine of 20-30 mins. I need to keep on track with my exercise, one way or the other.

My head is with all that is going on.

Ladylove ... how's Insanity treating you? You're a brave woman!!!

Here's my stats:

Friday, 4/19 - no workout - since I stayed up very late on Thursday evening and still had to complete the rest of the 35-piece Ebay order for shipment, I spent a couple of early a.m. hours doing that - then, it was ready for the post office! I pass the post office on my way to work .... so, it was done and done!!!

Saturday, 4/20 - 45 mins - Shaun T Dance Party routine
Sunday, 4/21 - 35 mins of Shaun T's 45 mins Dance Party routine

Hey, TM Buddies! This morning, I walked 33:02 mins, 2.09 miles, 333 cals. on my TM!! Switching up now that it is getting a little warmer in my family room .... I can do 3 days TM and 3 days Shaun T .... or, whatever, but will include the long lost TM!

Hello, TM Buddies ... happy May!!!! Great job on the workouts!!!

I've been MIA for a couple of days .... my back went out on Monday morning, as I was traveling to work!!! So, I am taking a couple days to rest it ... although, I am vying to walk today, since I am home.

Anyway, here's my stats:

Sat, 4/27 - rest day
Sun, 4/28 - - 45 mins, Shaun T's Rockin Body Dance Party routine
Mon, 4/29 - 25 mins, Shaun T's Rockin Body Party Express routine
Tues, 4/30 - rest day - back issue
Weds, 5/1 - to be determined ....

I told my hubby that I believe that the problem is the treadmill walking with the 4.0 incline. I've been noticing that a few days later the back starts hurting .... so, I will try walking with the incline no more than 1.0. I will not stop walking on the TM at all - therefore, an adjustment will have to be made.

Hey, TM Buddies .... Got to catch up with you ladies!!!! You're kickin' butt!!! Awesome, you all are!! Been walking the TM at 3.7 mph due to my back being out last week ... slowly but surely does it! Here's my stats:

Friday, 5/3 - rest day for the back
Sat, 5/4 - rest day for the back
Sun, 5/5 - TM 45-50 mins+, approx 3 mi, 320 cals (I remember watching "Soul Train" for a while to keep me mentally occupied) will have to find the numbers ....
Mon, 5/6 - TM 33:02 mins, 2.02 miles, 210 cals.
Tues, 5/7 - 33:02 mins, 2.02 miles, 210 cals.

Del, I'm so sorry about the loss of your BIL and sorry I wasn't here sooner to read about it....

Between helping with Mom and with traveling back and forth a few times to visit DS2 and family I have not been good at keeping up.

I went on my first outdoor bike ride yesterday...it was very short and challenging for me....I've got inflammation in my right bicep that makes gripping the handlebars difficult and painful so the ride was only 4 miles. I went back again today to do the same and was able to do it but it took longer today...my upper back hurt while riding so I had to stop a few times to let it loosen up a bit. I will keep at it but it will be slower progress than I had hoped.

I also need to work strengthening exercises in but right now I just don't have time....

Anyways, it's good to come here and see all of you again! Keep up the great work!

I am glad to have found this thread! I have been trying to Treadmill every second day as the weather up here in the Cariboo Mountains has been so spectacular its too nice to be indoors! On the days I don't Treadmill, I ride my bike.
Treadmill today: 30 minutes, 1.84 km, and 205 calories.
Unfortunately, today I was Treadmilling to work off those darn frenchfries I should Not have had for dinner. Husband returns home tomorrow though so back to our healthy way-of-eating (thank goodness eh)!
