Scheduled for a run last night, but was feeling horrible. Sore throat, legs all achy, the works. So, I just laid around and decided to make sure I was taking my supplements, because I've been neglecting those lately. Took my multivitamin and some magnesium and went to bed early.

Still feel pretty crappy today. Ugh!

Yesterday, I took a rest day, but not really. Continued getting house together as I took a personal day from work and was able to get more accomplished. Hubby painted the bathroom a lovely sky blue and I helped to accessorize it with navy blue towels and bath rug. It is absolutely gorgeous! I supplied him with my mother's hanging mirror for the bathroom door but I don't think he is going to use it (we'll see).

This morning, it was me and Shaun T - Hip Hop Abs (30 mins). Tomorrow and Sunday are going to be a little hectic, but I am getting it under control. Shopping tonight and tomorrow - although I know the Super Bowl is about finger foods - I am not one to rely totally upon guests who want to contribute food. I have a couple of buckets of chicken coming but I will be making a small turkey and put it on the table ... just in case. There's going to be sandwiches, salads, mac and cheese, veggies and my hubby's "goulash" which is delicious!!! He makes a combination of pasta, sausage, hamburger and cheese with a sauces .... it is soooo good!!! When his job has what they call a "pick" party (they choose their jobs for the next six months according to seniority), lunch consists of food that they all bring in ... which makes it easier to meet their deadline for picking and have something to eat if their pick time is before or after their normal lunchbreak.... all that said -- he brought his goulash the last time -- and it was all eaten up by the time he was available! Thank goodness he made some extra for us....

Have a great day and I will check back later...

Hi, TM Buddies -

Lori - I hope you're have a good time in Arizona .... see you when you get back!

Cindy, good job on the Combat class. I have to say that all weekend I worked out on preparing for the Super Bowl party which was a so much fun!!! We really enjoyed ourselves. My friend came over to help me fix the sandwiches and set the table - that was at 4:00 p.m. - Hubby and I were running all weekend long but yesterday we got back in the house around 2:30 p.m. after our religious services, then shopping - again!

All-in-all, I wish I could count the calories burned just doing that!

No workout this morning either - I am totally exhausted but will be back on track tomorrow morning with Shaun T! Need to burn off that bread, wine and cake .... Have a great day, TM Buddies!

My workouts for the last two days consisted of walking the strip in Vegas. I am currently awaiting my ride home at the airport. Hope to get back into my normal running routine once home.

I worked out 30 mins with Shaun T's Hip Hop Abs .... the top of my left foot started aching last evening .... so, I will be working out with HIp Hop Abs until it gets better. The dance routine is powerful but subtle enough that I don't have to bend my foot, I can just slide my foot from side to side as I move from left to right, and instead of jumping with some steps.

I really don't know what's going on with my foot - no one stepped on it, nor did I twist or bump it .... oh, well. I've got to keep on moving.

Good to see you popping by LadyLove.

I went to my Zumba class this morning but I seemed out of sorts and didn't get as much as usual from it. At least I was moving!

Hey, TM Buddies - glad to see you both!!! Because of the irritation of my left foot, I have not worked out since Tuesday - but since it feels a little better, I will work out tomorrow morning.

With all the snow coming our way, I may be staying home and will have plenty of time to work out!!! Will check back later ... have a nice one!

Ooooh, Ladylove, you've got my head spinning!!!! Excellent job on Insanity workouts!!!

Yes, we're gearing up for a Superstorm Blizzard this time ... NOT MY KIND OF WEATHER .... just getting over the Sandy jokes since that's my nickname - my name is Cassandra -- so you know the deal .....

This morning my left foot felt good enough for me to work out with Shaun T's Hip Hop Abs. By resting it the past couple of days, it did it some justice.

Here's wishing everyone a happy Friday and nice weekend! Will check back later to see what's happening on the boards!!!

Keep up the good work!!!

Ok, I am challenging myself to get back on the treadmill, even if it is just to walk and do something about this nasty sinus infection if it isn't cleared up by monday. 10 days is too long for no exercise and to be sick!

Yes, Lori, hope it goes soon, it is really hanging on.

I did an aerobic/toning class today, but it was very high impact and that I will not do. The instructor was not giving alternatives either. Just as well I know what to do to adapt the moves, but it irks me that he didn't bother. At 65 I feel I have earned some respect in a class! Rant over!

Kissa - I completely agree with you regarding the alternatives. I would really get upset when the instructors didn't allow for low impact attendees!

Thank you both for the well wishes. Two of my children now also have the same cough/crud I have and we are ALL going to the doctor Monday if we don't kick this thing this weekend!

Hi, TM Buddies - hope you had a good weekend! Here's my stats:

Saturday, 2/9 - rest day (had to complete Ebay orders)
Sunday, 2/10 - Shaun T's Rockin' Body dvd: Party Express (25 mins) & Hard Core Abs (10 mins) segments.

Survived the Blizzard of 2013 - we got quite a bit of snow but it wasn't as bad as Connecticut. We got about 12 inches - the buses and subways are running and will be on normal schedule by Monday morning. The roads are manageable....

Good Morning All. I am very tired of being sick and having sick kids. It sounds like we all have the same thing. I am just waiting for the doctor's office to open so that I can get appointments! Thanks again for the well wishes.

Miss you all!! I've been so busy with Mom and Stepfather that I haven't had time to do anything, it seems....

I finally got my indoor bike set up in the living room and hope to start using it this week...still having all my leg issues and will be seeing the dr. on Wed. to see if there is anything else to try....I am willing to bet I'm on my own for this so I guess I'll be starting back up at below beginner level and working back up slowly. DH and I have discussed this and I'm hoping the indoor biking will give me enough ability again to start riding at the nearby park when the weather allows it. That's the best place to start for outdoor riding and I can work my way up to my long rides again....

Also hope to get some treadmill time although that will go slower than the bike...and the rest of the muscle work will be equally as slow....

Linda, we've missed you too... and totally understand. Hope all is well with your Mom and Stepdad, as well as the rest of the family. Steady as it goes ... and we'll see you on the boards when you are able to work out. That's a great idea about the indoor bike and the treadmill .... it's a good place to start.

Have a lovely day!

Thanks, Del....things are settling into a routine with Mom and now that Stepfather has mostly recovered from a fall he had last month, it's a bit easier. I'm in the process of setting up a second bedroom in case I need to stay there again.
