Waving hi!!! I'm still at Mom's house while Stepfather is recovering...talked to him last night and he sounded good...wants to come home soon! I imagine I'll be here a few more days.
I've been doing pushups using the kitchen counter and step ups from the front hall to the livingroom (one step up from the hall to the room!) so at least I'm getting something! |

Today, I walked approximately 68 mins, 4.0 miles, 500 cals. (3.8 mph/2.5 incline) Have to find my paperwork with my notes but I do reminder it's around those numbers.
Have a great day! |

My mile today was 15:04, and I had my new shoes on lol
![]() They helped my shin pain, but had pain in side of my calf. I think they are just still healing, so next few workouts will be to just log miles, not time. Thanks for all the advice on getting them healed! Also did some of the strength training moves that biggestloser posted in that link. mamagiff, i'm glad to hear your stepdad is recovering, I'm sure he can't wait to be home. Not sure what I'll do tomorrow, probably weight/strength training, may look for a dvd on muscle building (not vein popping muscles lol). |

Hi folks!
Ladylove - how do your knees feel doing insanity?? I just tried the fit test and found it painful! Seemed like a really intense workout though. zagnats - bummer about your shin splints. I've dealt with lots of injuries and it totally sucks. Hope you're healed up soon! Have you ever read Born to Run? It's a good read and has to do with minimalist and barefoot running. It's interesting stuff! I didn't get my weight training workout yesterday, so I did it this evening in addition to my walk / jog workout. The weights were tough! I used 5 and 8 pound weights and just did 1 set / 16 reps of each exercise. Yikes! I haven't used the weights for quite a while, so I think I'll be sore. Which is always a good sign. I walked/jogged outside today so there were some hills. 33 minutes, 2.09 miles, 239 calories. I have a heart rate monitor that works with my iPhone to get data. Pretty nifty! I totally dig this thread! I need some accountability and it's so cool to see other peoples' workouts! |

Biggestloser: Insanity is tough on the knees. I have had to stop for a couple days because of the exercises where it puts so much pressure on your knees
I really take his comments to heart when he says..."Don't compromise form for speed" so, a lot of times i slow down quite a bit when it comes to those exercises that will have my knees in pain. ![]() Del - That's too funny... "on stage" .. ![]() LoriAs - Awesome workouts !!!!! keep it up ! ![]() Today's workout: Insanity - Phase 2 - Day 9 - Core Cardio and Balance |

Hi, TM Buddies - this morning, I worked out 30 mins. with Shaun T's Rockin' Body DVD - the "Booty Time" session. This one targets the buns, thighs and abs. Awesome! Sweat!
Ladylove - That is funny, though - Shaun T's literally on stage with his work out dancers - the setting is great with a Disco Ball and everything ... there's an audience viewing them and cheering them on .... I feel like I am on stage -- well, you know Shaun T "pumps it up"!!!! I am glad that I invested in this DVD, as well, which I added to my Hip Hop Abs collection. Full of SERIOUS energy -- as you know -- since you work out with the INsanity DVD. This board is HOT!!! Wishing everyone a successful and healthy new year of fitness .... have a great weekend ....

Good Morning, TM Buddies - hope you had a lovely weekend!
This morning, I worked out to Shaun T's Rockin' Body DVD: Party Express routine. Within one week of doing this, I have lost inches that enabled me to fit back into a skirt that I couldn't zip all the way up!!!! I pulled it up without resistance and closed the zipper!!!! Awesome - now, I am getting rid of the Hurricane Sandy weight that I put on while not exercising for 2 weeks (no electricity) .... ![]() |

del - I love it when that happens! I had the same type of experience this weekend. I tried on two skirts that I couldn't get over my hips 6 weeks again. They slipped on, were loose and zipped no problem. They are almost too big! I love it!
biggestloser - you are doing so great. keep it up! Ladylove - I never thought I would hear myself say these words, but "Insanity is my goal!" ![]() I have wanted this program for about a year now. I am hoping to save up the money to get it. In the mean time I am still training with the C25K to run a 5K with my sons. I have a date with the treadmill tonight and will report back after.

Lori --- yes!!! That's an awesome feeling ... good for you! And, keep up the good work! I have a friend who started Insanity a few months ago and she is now sooooo thin!!! Unbelievable - she's one who would never wear a figure-fitting dress - well, need I tell you that she has been showing off her figure .... and proud of it!
I can't do Insanity because of my wrist and back issues, but his Hip Hop Abs and Rockin' Body will do what I need it to --- he's a great trainer!!!! |

Good morning!
I'm meeting some friends for happy hour after work, so I knew I had to get my workout in before work. I bundled up and did my walk / jog outside and it was only 30 degrees! Feeling pretty good. There's a treadmill at work, but I can only use it in the afternoon / evening since I don't want to use the shower. A bunch of dudes use it and I don't know how often if ever the cleaning lady cleans it. ![]() Nice y'all are losing inches!! Working out is just fantastic for that! Hopefully I'll get my workout dvds in the mail today and can start with the weights tomorrow. Then I'll really be getting ready for bikini season! ![]() |

You guys are really inspiring! I keep seeing Insanity mentioned, I may have to look it up, do you guys like it?
Worked out with weights today, chest, shoulders and triceps. Tomorrow will be a treadmill workout. Plan to alternate the two a few times a week. Need to get some lower weight dumbells. All I have are my husbands and the lowest they go are 12 lbs. I can't do much with those yet lol |

At home with 7 year old today. Was in the ER with her late last night. She probably RE-broke her ankle. She just got her cast off 3 weeks ago. We have an appointment with the orthapedic doctor today to find out the xray results and probably cast for 6 weeks and physical therapy for a year. Eeek!
Date with the treadmill sometime today. |

You will love the results but, the workouts can be BRUTAL (just being honest). It's great if you can stick with it or just take it in spurts and give yourself a break in between module workouts. |

Happy Friday gang!
Thanks for the info on Insanity, I may look into getting that, wanted something challenging to mix things up. Getting some lighter weights today for muscle building. My miles on the treadmill I have been averaging about 3.9 mph. I'm really enjoying brisk/fast walking. Going to try and get a workout in today but not sure if possible yet. |
