I am back from 10 days away in Germany which was wonderful.

Oh Del, things seem to be going from bad to worse for you at present. I am so very, very sorry for your loss of your dear friend. And added to that a broken bone.

It does sometimes feel as if life is conspiring against us. Take heart and try to count your blessings. I will be here thinking positive thoughts for you.

I walked a miles in Germany, we were in Berlin and Dresden, 2 amazing cities. I have bought a Jawbone UP which is a very fancy pedometer so I know I was averaging 6 to 8 miles most days.

Hope to get back to regular exercise next week, we have a busy schedule this week which won't allow me to get to classes. Because of my 'UP' band though I am really trying to ensure I get in my 10,000 steps per day.

Aaaww, you are so thoughtful, kind and consoling. I really appreciate that. Life does give us lemons at time, so it is time for me to make "lemonade," there is some good to come out of our issues .... it hurts at first, but over time, I will heal from this .... I just miss her dearly... but I know that if she were alive, she would tell me to keep my chin up.

I haven't done much in the department of working out .... I will see about later today as my plans turned around from working out this morning. I did do 10 push ups yesterday and today ....

Great workout with the walking ...That Jawbone UP pedometer sounds like something really useful, enjoy!

Hello Treadmill Buddies !

I hope those of you that celebrate Labor Day has a nice relaxing day.

I'm making changes to my "Road to Goal".... I have got to clean up my eating (it has been terrible to say the least) and no matter how consistent I am with exercising my weight just has been at a standstill so....

Here's healthy eating habits (consistently) and more "power" workouts.

How about you ladies? how are you doing with reaching your goal (if you aren't already there and maintaining). Oh how I look forward to maintaining - lol (which I know isn't always easy but, at least you are there and not trying to get there).

I am still maintaining with JUDDD, and I love it. I do more of a 5:2 approach these days. But I am a couple of pounds over my goal and I prefer to me a couple under!

Monday Body Conditioning. Won't get to the gym til Friday when it will be Zumba!

TM Buddies! I've been MIA .... I've been working out (cautiously) off and on due to my ankle situation but will be doing therapy for it. As it was diagnosed, my ankle does have a bone which is "chipped" .... the fibular tip. It is not painful but swells occasionally.

Been through "menopausal belly fat" weight gain - not happy about that either. But, regardless, I am holding on. The job hut has been unsuccessful, for now. I am contemplating trying to work from home, if I can find a company hiring "employees" and not independent contractors ....

I've got to catch up on your posts .... great job! Here's my stats:

8/24 - 60:24 mins, 3.32 mi, 350 cals
8/25 - 60:23 mins, 3.32 mi, 350 cals

Good morning, TM Buddies - yesterday, I went to the beach - which I normally don't do. A friend of mine told me about Long Beach, NY and how beautiful the sandy beach was! I really enjoyed it .... lived in Queens for 15 years and never knew about it .... well, it's a short ride by train or car and worth it! Walked a lot!

Here's my TM stats:

Fri, 9/20 - 62:06 mins, 4.14 miles, 676 cals - (not including the walk on the beach)

Sat, 9/21 - 31:11 mins, 2.07 miles, 339 cals (I plan to walk again this afternoon for that extra boost)

Great job, Kissa .... yesterday, I took a rest day and ran errands with a couple of my friends. We had so much fun --- I needed that! Took a video at ToysRUs of one of my friends who tried out a hula hoop .... oh, my goodness! I couldn't stop laughing as she tried to get it going .... then, the other one, who's in her 70's, started up! What a riot!

Well, we decided to go to a 99 cent SuperStore that had them for much less money and it had the rattling sound to it .... I figured why not try it on for additional exercise?

With all of the walking we did for hours, I put in some calorie burning for about 5 hours .... will check back later today!

What fun...but mind your back!

I am off shortly to my aerobic/toning class. I have changed my classes at the London gym I use. they are all around the middle of the day and it takes the stress out of the morning not having to rush straight out for a class. I miss Zumba but I honestly think I am getting more from these classes that incorporate weights too.

Awesome, Kissa ... every exercise class helps! Thanks for the reminder about my back - I'm trying so hard to be careful with it - if I don't, I will never forget about it, for sure ....

I just got off the TM at 10:00 p.m. - walked for 62 mins, 4.13 miles, 675 cals. since I didn't walk earlier this morning .... glad I had enough energy to make it ....
